A lot of PHers will be very happy at this news.
Apparently a Tory candidate in 2005 and 2010, but has been a full time mum for eight years. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Good for people with some life experience to be standing as politicians.

It’s good that they've got someone who can relate to the normal everyday person isn’t it.

She was our Tory candidate in Somerton & Frome constituency. She was very good and responded to an email I sent her very promptly. The incumbent (a Lib Dem from central casting) was a waffly old fossil.

Good luck to her!

Annunziata is the Italian word for (feminine) Annunciation. It is generally understood to refer to the Virgin Mary, receiving the word of the Angel Gabriel that she is to bear the Christ child; that is, the Virgin Mary after the Annunciation. It is a common theme for iconic reverence in Roman Catholicism (see Immaculate Conception. In Catholic families where all the children are girls it is sometimes given to a new child in the hope that the next born will be a boy.
Blimey.

I don't think this is a great idea for the 'Leave' campaign as it is likely to split votes between the Brexit party and UKIP. Thus it is likely to dilute the effect.

….but I have been wrong on many things before..... smile
Indeed, it is exactly what will happen; it will split the Gammony Frothers and help to maintain business as usual for the Conservatives and Labour.

Farage is the 'Pied Piper' for many in the UK but they will be torn between allegiance to UKIP and his new Ego Massage Project.

Are a lot of these “gammony frothers” conservative voters though?

Won’t it actually be the end of business as usual and possibly lead the UK to a Corbyn victory?

+1.

Both the UKIP and Brexit Party will only ever be voted for based on the 1 issue, exit from the EU.

UKIP has moved into the realms of the BNP since it's vote dissapated after the referendum was won. People will not vote for it now in any great numbers.

Both the Tories and Labour have demonstrated they can not be trusted to deliver any meaningful form of Brexit.

However the Brexit Party will now give those anti-EU voters the box on the ballet slip they needed.

It's quite nice to see the remainers employing the same tactics as before the referendum.

The tactics of being sane and not wanting the collapse of what little respect we had on the world stage along with a huge shrinking of the economy for years to come?

If you are a leaver there is little reason not to vote for the brexit party in the EU elections and it may actually enthuse people who are not in the leave camp to go out and vote.

Totally agree. amongst hardcore UKIP supporters, Stephen Yaxley Lennon's involvement will go down well, yet I don't think his presence will bring them many votes they didn't already have. Transient supporters will migrate to Farage IMO

Totally disagree with this though. Every vote?? confused

Why wouldn't a previous Labour supporter vote for a Brexit orientated party?
