Nobody tired of this yet?

You got what you wanted. To feel significant in your tiny lives for a moment and I'm sure the 'victory' of 2016 felt amazing for you but the crushing reality is that you don't really matter as evidenced by the farce that has been the last three years.

At this point Brexit doesn't really matter at all to anyone, it's just lost in the noise around it. You got your voices heard, you were never going to get them acted upon, surely you've gotta realise that by now. No matter if we leave or stay it won't be what you actually wanted but you've made a whole bunch of people miserable in the process throughout this country and abroad and Britain is a joke.

See PH member Coolbanana when trying to write longwinded ' full retard ' type posts.

Sorry if my vote made you miserable though. Jo Brand is probably playing somewhere this weekend if you need cheering up.

You are seriously wrong there. We are leaving and that's exactly what I wanted.

People will always be miserable when they don't get what they wanted - Remainers just seem to have more temper tantrums than a 3 year old.

I have shocking news.

I know it is hard to believe, but the EU has chosen a German as President of the Commission, a French woman as head of the ECB and a Belgian as President of the Parliament.

You really couldn’t make it up.
I am sure you think there is some significance that these people were chosen through a simple democratic process. Can you explain why?

Did you expect them to elect one of our Brexit Party MEPs?

No not me in fact even more engaged , and despite everything but the kitchen sink being thrown at stopping Brexit by the gravy train riders , big business and crony capitalists we little people are still in a good position to leave a corrupt and intransigent self serving bureaucracy ,
YOU and your like are in part responsible for our current situation along with a Tory party which has lost it's way ..

Maybe some will start to realise what the sensible middle ground majority have had to put up with over the last years after the first day of the new EU parliament.

Brexit party standing up and turning their backs while Ode to Joy was played. rolleyes

Then the Lib Dem MEPs turning up in "bks to Brexit" T shirts. more rolleyes

Former Sheffield Mayor was one new Green MEP asked to leave the buildings because of the way he behaved and was dressed including a T shirt with F**k Fascism written on it. even more rolleyes

Funny about the balanced reporting in the main press. Or maybe not.

Its going to be fun watching the EU Parliament ratify these choices.

There are 28 member states, no representation from the newer members in the east isnt going to go down well.

Choosing a convicted criminal gravy train rider for the most important role in the future economics of the EU is just mind blowing.

How can the remainers on here not see how bad that looks, ignoring the fact she has a woeful track record in getting things wrong.

They probably have a right to be. Those who voted to leave consist of employed and unemployed. Employed Leavers probably voted because they were 100% confident about the future of their jobs or business. Unemployed Leavers, who are statistically a very small proportion of the population, may have voted because, in part, leaving would improve their prospects. Those who wanted to maintain the status quo, at least some of them are now fearful about their jobs and businesses. So there is a perfectly understandable loguic about the response, that people should not be berated about. Instead, they should be reassured, but that's not what is happening.

would you still support remaining in light of this, or vote to remain in the future given the chance ?

And you have just shown you have absolutely ZERO idea what a dictatorship is. I will give you a clue - the fact that you have the freedom to be online and talk such drivel is one indication. You are free to talk bks in public too - thats another. You can vote for what you want - thats another clue... you can also live where you want and do what you want. You can read what you want and go where you want. You are free to offer your ill informed opinions..

So where is this dictatorship exactly?? How does this compare to North Korea or China. You know, those dictatorships..

When we leave the EU - name ONE thing you can do that you cannot do already. One thing.. Go on.

You don't get it do you.

The EU is not a static organisation, it is an anti-democratic construct which is reducing the democratic control the people of Europe have over their ruling classes.

You have to be completely blinkered to not see whats going on right now, with the rise of the Anti-EU parties across Europe whilst the gravy train riders carve up the power.

They just took the piss again yesterday, proposing a convicted financial criminal as head of the ECB and a rabid federalist German as head of the commision.

Politics in Europe are going to get very messy when the next recession hits.
