Indeed. So you say.

Practice good hygiene. Wash your hands. Don't touch your face. Put the loo seat down before you flush. Wash your hands.

That's some 4D chess right there.

Although word of advice, after 4 weeks of taking Immodium, when you finally get your hands on some bog roll you may want to visit the Spoon thread in the Lounge. Might be some good models for clearing blockages.

A memory from childhood:

In days of old
When knights were bold
And paper weren't invented
They wiped their ass
With blades of grass
And went away contented.

Ha ha, not heard that one before.

I'm feeling a bit better about it all today, still worried though. It's playing havoc with my anxiety.

There's a bit where Red 4 seemed to think he knew better, partially because of his wife's profession- will that do?
All Red did was acknowledge someone else's statement that despite the apparent lack of action implied in Boris's speech there was in fact a lot going on in the background, and he knew this to be true because his missus was involved in it.

Some clown interpreted that as 'NHS manager thinks she knows better' and off you all went.

I think some kind of combination spoon/corkscrew may be needed. Or a Kango...

Shares have bounced back today - unfortunate topical typo from the BBC though (amongst others!)

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/topics/c9qdqqkgz27t/fts...

"Is this a dead cat bounce?
A dead cat bounce is when share prices benefit from a brief recovery in the midst of a plunge.

Is that what's happening today?

Rabobank stretegist Michael Every thinks so.

"We sure seem to be witnessing a classic dead cat bounce with the Stoxx 600 up about 3.5% and all regional bourses experiencing a positive to very positive open, like in London, with the FTSE up 5%," he says.

"It’s been a black week already – and even if today sees another dead bat bounce, it’s hard to see where any real structural relief is going to come from until we get a virus vaccine."

I suspect the only tools which will be needed are a mop & bucket.

This virus has really opened my eyes to how dirty some people are!
We handle money on a daily basis and you see people with notes in their mouth, holding notes in the same hand as the snot rag they've just wiped their nose with, coughing into a hand of cash and the proceeding to hand it to us.

Amazes me that they have no clue about whats going on, or simply dont care.

Very confusing messages from the Gov, don't travel to parts of Spain - https://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-health-coronavir... But are they stopping Spanish folk from coming here? Or from anywhere else with high infection rates?

And yet, just a couple of days ago the Gov happily allowed thousands of Spanish folk to come here to watch some sports.

The state of Ohio have said they probably have 100,000 cases.
That would be more than China in the last 3 months.

As Boris admitted, the gov have kind of given up as it's just too late so no point in stopping people visiting.

The whole world knows the score, so if they want to risk it it's up to them.

It’s a strange situation here with schools open, but 200 yards down the road across the border they are closed.

Exactly.

Come here and give us your money, we don't care if you infect us.

We won't be visiting you though. Cheers.
