Since the start of the current lockdown , not the next lockdown , this current lockdown, I have been largely ignoring its dictats re not seing people, not doing non essential journeys etc. The closing of pubs and restaurants has really been the biggest bugbear for me. So much so that I have been forced to look out of my lounge window during daylight hours when the MSM lies became too much. .

However what really surprised me is just how few fks the older generation seem to give. Across the road from me there live two aged couples , so mid to late 70's, and both seem to have a never ending stream of visitors both family, friends and workmen. One have had roofers, builders, kitchen fitters and bathroom fitters as they seem to embarked on a lockdown refurbishment without one mask in sight.

There's me , thinking I am sticking it to the man by going to see family and friends . and theres a brace of OAP couples having the equivalent of Glastonberry going in in a three bedroomed bungalow opposite.

How are your neighbours adhering to the govt dictats? Are they like mine, oblivious, or are they the modern day equivalent of Mr Hodges?

Cheers,

Tony

My neighbours seem to have their moments.

We have a couple in their late 70’s who have been very anti-breaking lockdown however have been seeing their daughter and grandchildren.

Their daughter is a doctor and both of them tested + three weeks ago. Glad to say they are both fine and now seem to chat to anyone they want.

The next door but one neighbour is 80, she had a + test three weeks ago along with two opposite neighbours who by chance all happened to have dinner together.........they are all OK and wonder what the fuss is about.

I live in a leafy road with houses well spread so I’m not always aware of what’s going on. Our immediate neighbours seem to have not given a st since day one of lockdown one and do exactly what they want, when they want with whom they want.

Personally I don’t care, frankly it’s not my business and I’m on the ‘it’s all bks’ side so I have no intention of calling anyone about anyone.

I wonder at what point we'll find out about anyone with adverse reactions to the vaccine.
They will try hard to hide all they can to not put anyone off getting it.
I suppose that would be just another Covid death spin

Because they want to and did the same pre-pandemic?
Because they are scared to get of the car for fear of getting covid but still want to “have a run out”!

Why at the weekend though - they have all week to go out- same as they go shopping on a Saturday.

Adherence is very good in my development. Concierge has asked us to report any breaches, and they are actively monitoring CCTV and reporting breaches to the police.

I guess that's why the communists loved their standard issue residential blocks of flats.

Possibly but the NHS staff know if someone is admitted , for example, with lung pain and difficulty breathing, and then get a Positive test, this could be a "Covid admission" (not perfectly accurate but at least it's related).
I don't disagree. However that isn't at all obvious how things are actually being classified. In your example, it would probably as far as I can see be a diagnosed covid case and not a covid admission. The numbers as they stand suggest admissions purely as those they alteady know to have been diagnosed with covid.

The cynic in me wonders if this is why they arrest the pensioners at these protests, a load of uncaring youths is easily waved away but the very people your claiming to protect marching against you gets a bit awkward (I realise the police aren't being told to target them deliberately just an interesting point)

Its not nice when people who are classed as vulnerable take risks they shouldn’t, when the rest of the country endures restrictions for their benefit. Really winds me up tbh.

Err no? It’s just a well run development. When you spend 5-20k a year on service charge, you expect something in return.

As an example, when I first moved in I was shuffling things around and trying to make it all fit. I had a clothes rack completely folded up and unused on the balcony, and within 15 mins had an email titled “BREACH OF LEASE”, stating that on a routine patrol they had noticed the rack and it was to be removed immediately, else further enforcement action would be taken.

Management is on top of misbehavior, and as such it’s a a great place to live.

On the neighbours subject... First lockdown everyone was rigidly compliant we twisted some arms with a few friends so our children could play out side together a few times (naughty naughty!) This time round nobody cares, where as before people would be chatting on front lawns at 2m now they just all go inside. The only thing I've spotted is people do look very furtive when doing it but otherwise it's close to normal is say

You’re a parody account right? You live somewhere they have “regular patrols”? Is it Broadmoor?

Is it £5k or £20k - that’s quite a difference!

Thanks but I’ll keep my nice road in a nice village where it’s not populated with little snitches - a ‘routine patrol’.......sounds delightful.....

It’s per sqft, so of course the SC varies between a studio to a penthouse.

How on earth is anything I’ve said parity? Of course there are patrols, why else are we paying for 4 security staff in 8 hour shifts, 24/7? I certainly wouldn’t be happy if they just sat around doing nothing. Typically it’s 2 on CCTV duty and 2 patrolling on foot.
