So, a power vacuum in Iran then? Perfect timing for the Western election season and their emerging proxy war...
Don't think so. this chap was more or less it seems a flunky of the clerics (who are the true power of iran after all), the real power vacumn might happen if khamenei for example suddenly keeled over but even so you'd have to assume there is a succession plan for the next ayatollah anyway...

sun rises at 4.56am so we should know what's gone on by the time we wake up for breakfast.

Seems likely, the Caucasus has two kinds of landscape, the stuff that goes straight up and the stuff that goes straight down, neither likely to offer a soft landing.

I see Russia have offered to assist friendly Iran in the investigation into how the crash has occurred.

I wonder who will be blamed!

I am rather hoping that the helicopter crashed on top of the Supreme religious nutter who ultimately controls everything in Iran.

I'm expecting the crash report to say that the ground suddenly jumped up and hit the helicopter.

Karma for a Killer?

Unfortunately I see Iran spinning this so that Israel are identified as responsible. I hope that’s not the case.
