General Election July 2024
Discussion
School holiday season in Scotland, we have postal votes so shouldn't be affected but ain't great timing, lots of people won't be home. Not sure how that would affect the demographics likely to vote, probably similar across the board, but hopefully the SNP fanatics have already booked their yurts in Scandinavia to experience a taste of their promised neverland.

Rumours, there's always rumours on Twitter, but now and again they're right.
Letters of no confidence are going in, either to try to stop the GE, or because they want to try to fight it with a different leader. Desperate times.
If you needed any further demonstration of why these fLetters of no confidence are going in, either to try to stop the GE, or because they want to try to fight it with a different leader. Desperate times.

About bloody time. This government has no answers to any of the UK's real problems and has been treading water for what feels like years now. An election can't come soon enough.
Hard to disagree with that. Unfortunately Labour havegt shown they have any answers either other than, grrr Tories. easytiger123 said:
Quick question. Assuming the Tories lose, does Starmer become PM on July 5th or is there some delay/handover?
Sunak resigns the day after and Starmer gets in if he is confident he has enough MPs that will support his government I suppose. Blair iirc became PM the day after the 97 election....?isaldiri said:
