If it's $100 trillion can we not just wait until the exchange rate is at $2-£1 again then pay them back???

Why is everyone moaning for ? if this money wouldnt hve been available you would all moan , now that it is vailable moaan, moan and moan some more.

At least everyone will have to spend their way out of the recession , which is the only thing to do .

Guess prick face was right to spend all that money wasnt he?

Dont know why I even bother clicking on these economy threads, to see morons moaning about everything and anything

$500bn for the IMF to lend to struggling economies
$250bn to boost world trade
$250bn for a new IMF "overdraft facility" countries can draw on
$100bn that international development banks can lend to poorest countries
$6bn increase in lending for the poorest countries

Same question. Where from?
fk where from, how about where TO? And how can I capitalise on this.

I bet they need consultancy. All that's needed is PowerPoint skills and the ability to call themselves an expert in <insert required field here> (and get away with it, because if you need an expert, you're not one yourself!)

Wow, I like to think of myself as quite financially savvy. I like to think that I'm quite up to date with the news and that I have a good understanding of what's going on here.

That page has just slapped me in the face and made me realise that I really can't grasp the scale of this eek

I notice that most news channels are reporting it was a joint venture and everyone was agreed. That french was being a drama queen and saying he will walk blah blah, but it was never in any doubt what the outcome would be, was it? rolleyes

The Germans however, and maybe the chinese, do not want this fiscal rescue package and feel its the wrong way forward. cry

Only time will tell.

remind yourself that money that's borrowed has to be paid back, then think how the contracts were awarded for the billions spent in Iraq and now think how winky and co are going to spend a whole stload more money............anybody who owns a company currently in favour with the government is going to become a whole lot richer whilst everybody else is going to become a whole lot poorer frown

I know what you mean. I don't think any normal person could really comprehend say a million in cash (normal cash like used 20's not fresh 100 dollar bills)
I sold my car and had 17k in cash and to me that looked like a lot of money, it even had weight to it. So to comprehend $1 trillion is obscene.

Either way lets just prey that whatever these people are doing it works be it right or wrong.
