I agree that the DM can get a bit hysterical sometimes, but more often than not the basic thrust of their stories are sound. Littlejohn in particular gets hammered by the liberal press, but when you look at what he has previously predicted would come to pass (and which at the time was snearingly dismissed as utter tosh) far too much of it has actually come to pass.

yes it's funny, many people dismiss him, call it hysteria at the time and yet in hindsight it is scarily accurate

also like reading Andrew Alexander and Quentin Letts does make me chorlte,

yes I oocasionally buy The Daily Mail paperbag
