tbh, my Mum looked quite a bit like that last time she fell over. Very hard to judge injuries from the look of older people's bruises
Agreed, but his sentence is hopefully based on his actions and not something as emotive as photos of her injuries.

I agree that it shouldn't make any difference. (I don't agree with the chair, sandbags and shooting scenario, but that's irrelevant) There is surely something to be said for not involving yourself with this kind of person in the first place, not keeping large amounts of cash lying about your house and certainly not letting the former know about the latter, which I suspect was the case, although the DM would never publish facts like that.

Sadly, I doubt any addicts will learn a lesson from this, but perhaps some other old people could.
