He was a lad wasn't he...I am sure I read stories from his daughter and them (jamie Lee) and him doing lines of coke together! (not that I am saying doing Coke is a good thing of course!)

Yes, as Roger Moore, who doesn't, said, he had range.

He could be funny - Some like it Hot, Monte Carlo or Bust. He could be very sinister, as in The Boston Strangler, or portray depth of character, and menace, in Lepke.

He was also a welcome face in swords and sandals epics, like The Black Shield of Falworth, but I remember him best from Whirlybirds, in the early 60's, and The Persuaders.
