It's absolutley disgusting. Some people may say it's worse being locked up for life rather than killed but I disagree; personally if it was my child I'd rather have him dead. Presumably the bloke doesn't want to die, so I'd imagine it must be a horrible feeling (and so it should be) being on death row counting down the days until you're executed, preferably tortured to death on the rack.

Sickening. I'd vote for the death penalty to be applied in situations like this.
There is zero reason for the death penalty not to be applied here. The monster has clearly committed the murder, and for his own gratification.

Child killers live safe and happy lives in the supportive environment of a tough prison. Hope he does not have any unfortunate accidents with nobody around.

listen guys, a child killer in prision is a prime target. it won't take long for people to find out about what he did.

if you are say a burglar or something in prison you have 'bragging rights' this guy has no 'bragging rights'.

he will have a well digged in him that's for sure.

Read similar stories before. The sad thing is some lonely single mother will probably hitch up with him when he comes out (or even before) and put her children at risk. And social services being what they are will have nothing to say.

To those who think it's better he's locked up for 24 years (min), rather than swinging from a rope.

You'll be paying out of your taxes for him for those 24 years. Still so keen?

Vermin. Best way is to be rid of 'em. Then, 100 per cent certainty, there will be no repetition.

I did the maths once. It works out at something like 9p of my tax per year.
I'm ok with spending that.

People sit on death row for decades anyway.

We should certainly be looking at reducing incarceration costs, regardless.

If this is the mentality of PH, imagine what prison will be like, with not a lot for anyone else to do in there?

Hurting a child is the excuse most people on the inside look for. As soon as you're a target, you don't stop being one until you're dead.

At least he'll do the hardest 24 years possible... Prisoners are very resourceful, and they don't like child abusers...

A bullet is no good when we haven't got a gun to fire it.

It's a shame there are no colonies to transports them to. Just expel them permanently from civilisation, declare them legally dead and leave them to subsistence farming with their own kind.

As I grow older I try to reconcile my impetuous younger self with the more rational and thoughtful middle-aged man I have become.
My fervent hope is that I can temper my base instincts with a knowledge that comes only with experience, allowing me to infuse my natural reactions with something approaching maturity.
It's something we all aspire to.

Then I read about an abject, disgusting, worthless piece of filth like this and just wish intense pain and crushing despair upon him. Forever. And ever.

Sometimes it's hard to be human.
