Shooting or hanging would be too good for these s. They should be imprisoned for life in the general prison population.
Methinks the lady does protest too much. Do you honestly think that hanging is too good for someone that has a picie of their naked 17 year old gf. Or is it only when it's little boys. How about Asians? They always look younger than they are. What about Hentai, does that count.
We all want the police to prosecute child abusers. Most of us could do without the hysterical "peadogedon" style outrage.

Fact is, over 90% of abuse is not committed by a stranger from the internet, it's from the family.
You wont find much rational discussion here I'm afraid.

I'm sure the people in this ring are not being investigated for having pictures of their 17 year old girlfriend (which wouldn't be illegal anyway, would it?), more likely violent sexual abuse of young children.

What we actually do, which is to prosecute them using the criminal justice system.
Sometimes that system let's us down but it's better than living in chaos.
And how is that different from what I suggested? I'm not suggesting thay get any special treatment whatsoever.Sometimes that system let's us down but it's better than living in chaos.

Ok, you got me. We won't hang them, instead we'll give them the far worse punishment of sending them to gaol.
Come on, it's the first rule of Pistonheads. Unless you engage in a competition to think up the most tortuous thing to do to a paedo then you approve of their behaviour. Obviously.supersingle said:

Do I detect a hint of sarcasm? One minute you want to prosecute them using our criminal justice system then you imply you want to hang them (which isn't a sentence available in our criminal justice system)? If it hadn't been for the internet a lot of these offenders would never have been caught so it makes me think there are a lot of offenders from years ago who escaped detection. I remember as a young lad having some uneasy/creepy feelings about a Sunday school vicar and a boy scout leader.
I caught the report on the radio and they said it was a forum that existed to discuss mens love of boys, and the BBC website report has an image of the forum home page which is called ' The ineternet boylove directory' .
Now isn't that a bit obvious that anyone looking on that site is going to be highly suspect ?

If it hadn't been for the internet many of these offenders wouldn't even exist.Eric Mc said:

Do you think that the internet offers temptation to those who have a curiosity rather than a desire to see the images?I remember clicking a link to see someone who was shot in the head (a video showing the event) and although it's not something I would search for online or in real life, my curiosity got the better of me and I was intrigued to know 'what happened'.
