The Chicago Jesus is still waiting for his invite too apparently.

The business with the Churchill bust is obviously encouraging some hope and change...
As far as I can see no other national leaders have been invited, other than from those countries which retain the Queen as some kind of constitutional figurehead.

Would be surprised if Obama gives two hoots either way smile

Good news!

It would be a touch hypocritical for the scum to want to go anyways.....
Blair was usually a staunch supporter of the monarchy.

Suprised he hasn't been invited really.

Strictly speaking it's not a "state" wedding as William is not the Prince of Wales or anything. If he was then it's likely a lot of heads of state would have been invited, but as it isn't it's just friends and family only.

Bit strange that they haven't even invited their aunt, the Duchess of York yet can find space for Elton John, Victoria Beckham and representatives of despotic regimes like that in Bahrain.

The Blair and Brown snub is very significant, make no mistake about it. It's nice to see smile

It isn't really a snub, Major and Thatcher were invited due to their positions and titles. Brown and Blair have neither.

Duchess of York does not exist, so no title invite.

Sir Elton John invite due to position and title, Beckham invite due to position as UK representative.

People just read too much into things.

Well, at least Blair's revolting wife won't need to curtsy. Again.

I do hope they manage to wheel Thatcher out.

No - it means people can point the finger and snigger at people they don't like, based on a false assumption.

I would be surprised if the Blairs or the Obamas give much of a monkeys either way. Another way of looking at it is to see what the Blairs / Obamas have achieved on their own merit and then look at their Royal Highnesses smile

Very, very pleased to see those two traitors are not invited. A bit dangerous to invite the untalented stick insect though, I would imagine she will be trying her very best to upstage the bride in the fashion stakes.

You sound like such a "glass half empty" type smile

War criminal/blood on hands ? Ok fair enough.

"Failed" barrister ? My understanding is that Cherie is quite succesful in her particular field and even TB passed the exams, which I don't think is an easy thing. What have any of the Royals achieved without the help of their titles/connections ? Teaboy to The Really Useful Company perhaps?
