Which part is bks?

It’s all well documented. Even the most fervent Royalist can’t defend the indefensible. You can ignore it, or brush it away, but if you want to claim ‘bks’ I suggest you provide some proof? The question was why do many find them unpalatable.
The bit of your comment that I quoted is bks; that The Queen and Prince Philip are racist xenophobes.

The mere fact every other excuse is ‘gaff’ would say otherwise. Are you in the ‘he’s just a bit old school’ camp yourself?

Liz, couldn’t care one jot, good for tourism apparently but questionable what the balance sheet actually is with the plethora of useless royals and Crown Estate MT.

So as Prince Phillip is a Greek born member of Danish royalty, who is he xenophobic against?

Most of those aren't even close to racism as they're not remotely concerned with race - and some that are being presented as such are actually compliments (such as the one to the Filipino nurse)...

Whether they count as racism or not most of his “gaffes” are rude and if he had an actual job as an employee would get him sacked. Feel free to try any of his statements at work if you think otherwise. He does it and gets away with it because of a massive feeling of self-entitlement that comes with being a Prince, especially an old one born when the British were more subservient and forelock tugging to the aristocracy.

rofl

I've said much worse at work, and never had a problem in the slightest.

Indeed, the Filipino one I've banked, as my boss' wife is Filipina and helps run the NHS...

Daily Mail vindicated as Prince Philip confirms ‘grandson doing interview’ definitely worse than ‘son being nonce’

Prince Philip has spoken out from his hospital bed to confirm that his grandson’s idea of giving an interview to a famous black woman is doing much more harm to his health than the thought of his second son being a nonce.

Oh noes, 'rude'.....

The royal family literally have no direct impact on anyone's lives on this small part of the web...So to get all frothy is a little bit well...strange

I'm ambivalent about the whole Royal family thing but in your character assassination of a 99 year old geezer you're conflating current views against those of a nearly 100 year old man who grew up in a time vastly different to those now.

In summary - man who has views different to yours is bad man.

Hold on a mo...why was Tom a genuine hero and lovely bloke, but Phil not?
Because dear old Phil spouts racist, xenophobic and sexist 'gaffes'. Apart from that 'lovely' bloke rolleyes
They weren't gaffs, they were very amusing one-liners - what we call 'jokes'.
Phil refuses to conform to the rules of political correctness which annoys those committed to the dogma. He isn't woke.
Yup, a modern day hero who won't submit to the crap with which our young generation has been indoctrinated.

I strive to achieve his standards every day...smile

To what end? He's almost 100. Would be the argument were it you or I.
It wasn't the argument for my gran, nor is it the argument at the moment (despite pandemic) for my GiL...
Indeed, my Father-in-law was fitted with 2 or 3 stents (can't remember) at the age of 93. He lived to 96 so it was all worthwhile. Some people have misconceptions about the NHS simply to suit the rhetoric.

Insulting your hosts was never acceptable and still isn’t acceptable in normal, polite society.

Turn up, smile, wave and don’t say anything offensive. Not a very difficult job. He didn’t seem to manage it. If he wanted more from life than that he shouldn’t have married the queen.
