Woman - check
Parents very wealthy Labour donors - check

Friend of Ms Harman - check
Never been to her proposed new constituency - check
Possibly never even been to Wales?
I'm sure that if enough is made of her birthplace she'll stand a chance though. Considering that she was raised & put through the private school system of Los Angeles I'm sure she'll have a lot in common with the council estates and shopping centres of Wales.
They. Just. Don't. Get. It.
People have had enough of this bks & they don't even grasp that things are moving so quickly now that they just can't get away with it anymore. Especially now the appalling way the NHS in Wales has been run by Labour is really coming home to roost.

Well, i had a my first ever run it with a labour voter/union nutcase this morning. I've heard the stories/anecdotes and seen the news stories but this is my first actual interaction with one of these cretins. Started as a fairly harmless conversation about car insurance, things turned sour when he made the comment "Lloyds gave me a cheaper quote, but I didn't want to buy anything from them as they don't have a union and have been making people redundant, so I went with Halifax". When I pointed out that Lloyds own Halifax his reaction was comparable to the reaction I'd expect if I was caught pissing through his letterbox.
Politically I've been very 'on the fence' and much of the opinion that they're all as bad as each other. At the end of his 15 minute rant I only know one thing, I will never ever vote labour. The only thing stopping me voting UKIP is the chance it may let labour in. I'm sure someone will educate me if this is another nonsense statement from politicians.
It all depends were you live, you could argue that voting Conservative you will get Labour, look at the Heywood results, if the people who voted Conservative, had voted UKIP, Labour would have been kept out, the next election is going to be a strange one, predicting results is going to be hard, voting tactically could lead to more problems, best just vote UKIP. How can these prospective MPs possibly represent their constituents when they have barely visited let alone know the place.

Selective quoting never fools anyone. She is a liberal labour career politician and daughter of significant labour benefactors. It is actions like these and the recent appointment of Alan Mak, born and schooled in York before studying Law at Cambridge followed by a post at Oxford, who is now standing for the Tories in Havant on the South Coast.

I don't see how the fact she is a woman is relevant. How can these prospective MPs possibly represent their constituents when they have barely visited let alone know the place.

You've obviously investigated it so why don't you enlighten us. Some connect some don't, Douglas and soon to be Mark, are those who obviously do. We will have to wait and see if Alan and Mabel do too. vonuber said:

At the end of the day UKIP (and the rest of us come to that.) shouldn't give a crap if she's a woman or a cross-dressing Pike named Trish, its the fact that she is being parachuted into that seat because of her mum is & who she has worked for in the past not her abilities, though I bet she makes a great latte. Her gender has only helped with the process because that insane bh Harman is obsessed with making the Labour benches totally female.

I wonder if you know that our not. Either way marks you out as a useful idiot, to coin a political phrase. I worry about the increasing rhetoric from UKIP supporters.

Fact of the matter is the populous are in general waking up to the rise of these career politicians fresh out of uni and polticial roles with no real life commercial experience. They are the new 'nasty' politicians, irrespective of party ties, simply in it for the personal gain rather than that of the constituents. So what do the two established parties do at the first opportunity to show they are listening? Select a bunch of career politicians. I wonder if you know that our not. Either way marks you out as a useful idiot, to coin a political phrase. I worry about the increasing rhetoric from UKIP supporters.
I am really looking forward to May it is going to be spectacular.

Meantime, ITV1 Channel 3 following National ITV News at Ten @ 10:40 ... The Agenda starting in twenty minutes .... Featuring and maybe starring N. Farage... Should be worth a watch ...
