So Chauvin finally speaks.... offering his condolences to the Floyd family... !
But restricts his comments further due to not being able to speak further about it due to forthcoming legal issues. No hint of remorse.
Did he say something about new evidence when he was speaking to GF's family? Maybe a hint about the appeal?

The next trial of the other 3 officers is due to be heard in March next year. This saga is going to roll on and on.

I have no idea what a sentence in the US should look like but it doesn't feel unreasonable.

Can't see him lasting long in prison somehow.

I am surprised that the sentence is expressed in months. Some months are longer than others.

Why not? He's already done over 6 months and is hell bent on appealing so suicide is unlikely (at the moment anyway) and he'll be kept separate from the masses.

All is good then although 30 years would have been better

Hoping that his actions come back and haunt him over and over again

So far he has been kept in solitary confinement.. Will that continue now he's received his sentence?

I heard somewhere that he'd be expected to serve 2 thirds of the sentence..

Full term in federal prisons. Parole in state prisons. Murder is a state crime.
