UKIP - The Future - Volume 3

I have, and just put so on the other thread (which at the moment shows just 20 per cent as being polled).
It was recently too. Now I'm not one to walk around in a T-shirt Vote UKIP, probably because many think I'm still Tory. However, in chit chat and conversation I don't hold back and re this pollster, the conversation went dead after it was obvious of my voting intention. Which I thought strange and could only conclude the poll was an agenda one.
It was probably you I was remembering in my post above. Which pollster? It was recently too. Now I'm not one to walk around in a T-shirt Vote UKIP, probably because many think I'm still Tory. Edit to my prev post:
'...being polled(!) - canvassed - perhaps 'polled' will be outlawed soon. You can't say that!
This is in CMD town too. He should hardly be worried but perhaps it was to find out if his majority might be hit - both Labour and Ukip have made more movement here than other parties for years. Labour have taken council seats and UKIP ran them a close half a doz votes. I know that is just local politics but it does tell you a lot.
CMD had a 22k maj last time but I can remember when turncoat Woodward (then Tory) won by only around 7k. You really never know voters... 'usually' as is pointed out by 'experts' they chicken out at the last minute and stick with the status quo. Even i have been like that over the years.
This time... 'is' and 'will be' VERY DIFFERENT!
You can now sense and feel it.
Can't resist... wait and see!

Reading the essay posted on a previous page about where UKIP draws it's support, PH supporters are not typical according to conventional wisdom.Edit to my prev post:

Do you think perhaps middle class support may be greater than first thought? My thinking behind this is maybe middle classes/university educated voters are more shy to reveal what they think, whereas the 'left behind' are more likely to call a spade a spade?
I am continually surprised by the number occasions UKIP comes up in the most random of conversations during everyday events like shopping, taking the dog out, attending hospital, getting on a bus etc These occur almost spontaneously with all kinds of people with ages ranging right across the spectrum - and I live in an area that is not "one of those areas that others appear to refer."
None have ever been solicited by me and in fact, believe or not, other than making the most basic of comments I do not express my views when the subject is brought up.
All of which leaves me wondering why anti kippers continue aiming their, jibes, ridicules and insults at the party at every opportunity whether relevant to UKIP or not(i.e. WTF has poppies at the TOL got to do with UKIP?) Just cheap, childish, shots that get the establishment absolutely nowhere and an indication how scared the elite (media & political) really are.....interesting times ahead I think.

Pretty sure that is a factor. Its not fashionable in certain circles to admit to being a Ukip voter.Esseesse said:

I have a feeling, well I know to be honest, he would tut, tut, oh dear, ah well etc ...and behind backs snigger like Precious Pupp.
And if you have no idea who Precious Pupp is, it was the earlier Hanna Barbera cartoon version of Muttley, and if you don't know who Muttley is, you gotta be young!

What is nice to watch is when they interview the average man or woman on the street they say it with pride and look excited about voting for them. Rather than the usual 'best of a bad bunch', 'I've always voted for them' etc. Look out for it as we approach the Rochester and Strood by election it is quite endearing and refreshing to watch and have noticed it quite a few times.

It is nothing to do with intelligence. Witness both Zod and FredCloggs are in a bit of a rage about UKIP, and yet they are opposite end of the political spectrum, as well as the intelligence spectrum.

Today's big deception was Cameron's assertion that he will not pay the £1.7Bn. As with everything that Cameron says, you need to study the small print very carefully indeed. He will either pay £1.6Bn by the first of December, or he will pay £1.7Bn on the second.
Which option do you think he will choose?
Yes we will all wait for the declaration of his tremendous success in renegotiating a £50 rebate.Which option do you think he will choose?
When did we become such an easy touch
Slightly off topic but on my facebook feed something curious popped up last night.
I have an ex-workmate who has some errrr.... interesting political views and he has 'liked' an article about the 'bacon to mosque door' story. As it appears to have come from an extreme right wing site I didn't pay much attention to it.
Until I noticed it had 56,000 likes.
That seems like a lot of people swinging to a rather nasty viewpoint of life. What with this and the Britain First scumbags, is some of the country already beginning to bypass UKIP and swing even further to the right?
Not good.

There's no doubt UKIP support is being downplayed in the polls, I expect them to get 20-25% (nearer the latter) in the GE next year. The problem facing UKIP is the prospect of wide-scale electoral fraud - we will not have proper democracy until the government gets a handle on postal voting. It is simply not in their interest to do so though.

I agree but is not a product of years of liberal political decisions, is it not just the normal swing in attitude that takes place.I have an ex-workmate who has some errrr.... interesting political views and he has 'liked' an article about the 'bacon to mosque door' story. Naturally given the tendency on this thread for certain individuals to take any pop at UKIP that presents itself, there may be a response which tries to paint UKIP as far right, but it's no such thing. With many aspects of Cameroonism so close to Bliarism, UKIP is doing no more than embodying what many naturally conservative (small c) people are looking for.

Wishful thinking. But not one to tar this thread with as only UKIP exclude members who have been part of any far right organisations. UKIP is just a result of the Conservatives and Labour going all liberal and alienating their traditional supporters.

There was something the other day which "researched" in inverted commas for obvious reasons the number of likes on Facebook and Britain First was very high compared to UKIP and the other parties. There wasn't any intelligent analysis of what and how this was running but it's a worrying trend if an accurate reflection of things, which suspect it isn't.
