Trump highest rating in 11 months
Trump rating lowest in months
His ratings seem to go up and down as often as his underpants
But on the single most important metric of "Keeping Hillary Out" I'm sure he's at 100% Trump rating lowest in months
His ratings seem to go up and down as often as his underpants
I am not getting much pleasure in witnessing the nightmare unfolding before us.
It is interesting I think reading the stuff his defenders on Facebook and Twitter come up with. More and more, it is something like ‘Get over it butthurt Libtard, SHE LOST’. I have even seen lately ‘Libsts are liars!’
I have found it fascinating to witness all along. I genuinely feel sorry though for the poor ordinary, sensible, Americans caught up in and having to deal with this pantomime.
The CNN link above is pretty "meh" about the new US/SK trade deal. i thought Forbes might be more neutral but that also seems underwhelmed.

Any sources which are "Wow, this is totes amazeballs!" about the deal?

Of course - all this has come up as North Korea leader Kim has a cozy chat with China's leaders
It’s all happening. Quite a week for Trump and his foreign policy. Is it really much of a deal in real terms?

So some concessions on tariffs on US exports of cars to SK which are irrelevant because SK doesn't buy US cars in anywhere near sufficient numbers for them to have any effect at all, and some exemptions for SK from US tariffs meant to protect US steel production, i.e. advantage SK.Fabulous deal for America there.

Cheers. Doesn't seem particularly earth shattering, or am I missing something there?coyft said:

China are fundamental in ensuring that NK sanctions are effective.
By meeting KJU China are effectively signalling to Trump "Behave yourself or we'll make the NK sanctions ineffective"
They've already made suggestions about buying US debt which, if followed through, is going to push up interest rates and lower stock markets.
Trump's like a paralytic drunk playing "Hit the pinyata". If he hits it it's more through luck than judgement, and he's causing a lot of collateral damage whilst he's playing. The grown ups are hoping he'll get tired soon and sit down, and the neighbours are looking through the window in shock.

Sounds about spot on to me. I'm hoping he is gone before any major catastrophe is caused.Trump is threatening trade sanctions against China

Edited to add that I’m possibly being a bit gloomy. But when you look at growth since 2007 and then factor in the near future predictions 2.9% looks very healthy.

Good numbers indeed for a western economy. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-economy-gdp...
They need to be viewed in conjunction with the US consumer debt levels though.
They are storing up huge problems for the future, Trump will never ever see this though, it’s not the way his brain works. It’s all about the here and now, he really cannot see beyond next week.
