U.S. fourth-quarter growth revised up to 2.9 percent; consumer spending surges.

Is that figure annualised?
‘‘Tis how our cousins record these things. It isn’t a sign of a 12% annual growth...
I did wonder rofl

Bigly growth!
In fairness it’s greater than I expect I’ll ever witness in the UK.

Edited to add that I’m possibly being a bit gloomy. But when you look at growth since 2007 and then factor in the near future predictions 2.9% looks very healthy.

Edited by scenario8 on Wednesday 28th March 18:53
I was making a flippant remark about the 12% no the 2.9%, sorry for not making that clear.

You're so touchy about everything to do with Trump, and very quick to take issue with anything that is posted about him.

Is this you?

What experience does he have running a department? Another bizarre appointment

Three times now you've reported sensationalised headlines only and not given any of your thoughts behind them, despite being asked.
Fancy expanding on any of these or are you just going to sit there throwing the odd duff grenade in infrequently?

SO we now know why Mannafort was playing hard ball, Trumps lawyer Dowd was dangling a presidential pardon in front of him and Flynn. We know Trump also kept in contact with them.
Thats witness tampering - surely. Obstruction of Justice.

Trump boasted before his inauguration that he had "by far the highest IQ of any cabinet ever assembled"

Now Shulkin has been sacked joining Tom Price, Tillerson and Kelly has been sidelined.
All of the sacking from Trump’s Cabinet have occurred among those 15 primary Cabinet positions - is Trump worried about the 25th Amendment and is replacing anyone he feels isn't loyal to him? There's a rumour Ben Carson is next (department of housing and urban development).

Just the 48 senior positions gone then...

That is staggering. I think Saunders claimed previously that you always have change in the administration. Yes you do, but not the whole administration in just over a year.

And Trump claimed everyone wants to work for the White House, and he will only employ the best people. Seems like both those statements are not true.

It certainly adds strength to the claims that he's worried about the 25th amendment and so is making changes accordingly.

lets not forget that a number of those sacking were directly related to investigations into Trump, whilst he's kept in constant touch with those who may have evidence against him. Obstruction?

So Dowd dangles the carrot.
I should imagine it goes something like: 'we're in deep st here boys. Say nothing, take your punishment and don't worry - the President himself has said he'll pardon you for saving his ass'

Where's the obstruction? rofl

I think you’re confusing me with the majority of posters on here. The headlines I have posted are factual non sensationalised.

But it is really entertaining watching the majority try and sensationalise even the most benign news.
Headlines are useless without a bit more detail. Up to now, you have chucked in the odd apparently "favourable to Trump" headline and not elaborated any further. On that basis, your contributions are rather worthless. If you want to explain why Trump is doing so well, you need to back up those claims with a bit more detail.

It’s pointless trying to debate with the vast majority on this thread. Let’s take you for example, you’ve stated that Trump is a fool, ignorant, narcissist and everything in between. In your eyes he can’t do ANY good.

So I’m just here to point out the facts every now and again. If you challenge me on the facts I’ll happily enter into a debate.

I’m not a Trump supporter, I think all politicians are self serving.
No point in ALLEGING that you are pointing out facts without backing those facts up.

I AM challenging you on the facts behind the headlines you select. Off you go.

Trump routinely fails to pay contractors.
Trump allegedly doesn't pay his lawyers.
Trump hasn't paid the Stormy Daniels hush money

Who would trust him to keep his word about promised pardons?
