Didn't this sort of thing bring Britain to its knees back in the 70s????
The wilderness years for Labour will truly be long and bleak.Didn't this sort of thing bring Britain to its knees back in the 70s????

Unions want control, I expect Starmer is not the one they can control (they way they want). Time will tell, I don't expect momentum and the hard left to disappear overnight.
The country's biggest union is backing Starmer. He has the backing of Unison, Usdaw and others. I don't think the unions have a problem with Starmer. They just want to get Labour back into power.

Now there are claims from the Labour Party of data breaches in the Starmer camp.

Something called Dialog was being tested, on a membership data base, what ever that is (Dialog that is).
Spies in both camps it would seem.
Looks like it's getting messy. The hard left of the executive know RLB is floundering so are going to try and nobble the competition.https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-51432440

Looks like a "didn't inhale" moment. Incompetent idiots.
Is there going to be a point in the campaign from which Starmer would be entitled to use the Labour database? If so, it would make sense to develop some software beforehand designed to talk to it. Conversely, if there isn't, then you would have to ask why develop something you could never legally use?zygalski said:

In answer to the OP, it seems like Boris Johnson has replaced Corbyn as leader. At least in term of tax & spend.
Rubbish, or if a joke, not funny.Enjoy paying your Tory taxes!
If the taxes being considered by the Tories come to bear, they really are a departure from their traditional targets. Removing tax reliefs from pensions and special taxes for large properties is not supportive. If Corbyn had suggested it, most in here would be crying 'Commie' and crying in to their G&Ts.

The difference being that Corbyn would use the money to piss up a very high wall. If the conservatives do follow through I’m at least hopeful that the money will be used for investment.Edited by janesmith1950 on Sunday 9th February 17:18

Diane Abbott will not serve in the new leader's shadow cabinet.

Not sure how much she really served in Corbyn's to be honest ... just sat there and repeatedly embarassed herself I think.
She has her own family related issues coming up soon.https://www.standard.co.uk/news/politics/diane-abb...

.
She was a semi permanent guest on This Week appearing with Michael Portillo and for many being good natured and pleasant.
She went from that to being in Corbyns shadow cabinet making a lot of ill judged claims and appearing quite thick and unpleasant
Along the way she aroused many posters on here in a way they would have thought inconceivable a few years previously.
2008 BBC 1 This Week .... "I suppose some people will judge that on balance Mao did more good than harm...
