In one way it is all old news, so it shouldn’t, in another way it is not want the SNP want associated with their name at this time.
I think you will find there are a host of SNP politicians and party members who have already been convicted of some serious crimes including major fraud. No way on earth they can hide from any of it, the world is watching closely. Roll on March.judge

Far be it from me to defend the guy, but touching an arm or leg over clothing = sexual assault? Really?
Guess you missed the "attempting to kiss" that's in nearly all of them then

And the foot one
Is attempting to kiss someone sexual assault though? I've attempted to kiss lots of women. Is it only sexual assault if I'm rebuffed? How do I know in advance? Do we really have to ask?

I get it, he's a lechy old fat guy, and I'm going to imagine the women are younger and relatively attractive, and I'm guessing the situations are 'work' ones where such activity would be frowned on anyway. I just think 'attempted to kiss a woman' doesn't sound much like the sort of thing I imagine when I hear the words 'sexual assault'.

Rebuffed but tries again and also uses some force such as pulling at arm, touching. A simple attempted kiss by leaning in would not be an assault (merely inappropriate) but pinning someone to the wall or grabbing them in conjunction with the attempted kiss would be an assault.

Most of have when we were younger and less articulate. And in days of yore being seen as easy was frowned upon by their peers so many young ladies used to put up a token defence even if they were up for more.
Today though, things are different.

Or using his position of authority to force himself on someone in a very uncomfortable situation.

As it's approaching Christmas it's time to revisit this classic piccie
I said at the time it was both disturbing and somewhat stimulating.

As is true of most political parties.

Maybe want to distinguish between active and former members.

The SNP shill has arrived. Don't forget that your leader doesn't agree with you!

If the headline is true it's a tad more serious than just being overly tactile

Obviously. I don't think anyone's suggesting otherwise.

All I'm saying is, taken on their own, some of these offences don't sound like much. Taken together, against the same woman, plus the more serious ones is a different thing altogether.

Or perhaps only whether they were active when the [alleged] offences took place. In the case of Salmond, at such a senior level, it's hard to believe there was not widespread knowledge, and therefore, acceptance of his behaviour within his party. I know that in any organisation where I worked, if the chief exec had that type of history then it would have been known and talked about.

Salmond is 'Mr. SNP' - not to mention the biggest (in literal ways too..) Indyref figure.

Much in the similar way that Farage is UKIP and leave EU.

Only Nigel hasn't been accused of multiple rape attempts.

While innocent until proven guilty, you don’t bring such a list of allegations against such a prominent politician without strong evidence and a robust chance of winning.
