Gordon Brown being caught off camera but on microphone chatting about "that racist woman". Then his race back with flowers or chocolates to say hey sorry - sad and damaging
Minor point of accuracy: "bigoted woman", not racist. And there were no presents if I recall, he went to talk to her and apologise.
That was a total car crash. The whole event and apology here.

She has been redeemed

Chris Martin of Coldplay says he will vote for the Lib Dems
Perhaps they may not be in Trouble after all. If enough people have a rush of blood to the head and vote Lib Dem

Over in sunny Blackpool each weekend the Local Labour are invading the place with student type activists
Was there couple weeks ago and whole swathes of them outside the Labour Offices on Talbot Road
Then off they set walking down in groups of between 8 to 12 hitting individual streets

They repeated this last Saturday and this time they arrived at a relatives house. Well a house he is doing up. My SIL is such a nice woman she let them in to get warm and made them tea and some toast.

They were all quite pleasant types evidently.
However the Tories are low key there and the Lib Dems non existent

Spotted the code (red arrow) immediately this time. Now, dare I open it to see what's inside... Uh?

It's personally to Me and the Mrs from Dr Sarah Woolyjumper, her of Hippie Central, south-east Totnes in Devon.

Woolyjumper says she left the Tories to join the Dums.
Forgotten already Sarah? How convenient! Back in February you left the Tories to join ChangeUk
(with that other dimwit, Chuckitin - if only he would!),and when that 'here today, gone tomorrow' laugh party vanished without trace,
THEN you joined the Lib-Dums.

For those of you who don't know Dr Woolyjumper, this is the MP who loves her locals.
Lloyd Evans of the Spectator interviewed residents and got a lot of interesting feedback.
One guy in the Wild Fig Deli in Totnes was asked about her jumping ship not once, but twice.
He said this election should ensure her disloyalty terminates her career.
‘Yes, you can change party all right, but you hold a by-election. She’s lost her credibility.’
As pointed out bluntly:
This is the ex-Tory who in 2011 heartily backed a private members’ bill requiring MPs who change parties to stand for re-election.
Strangely, not a mention of this in her letter.
To date she has yet to meet this obligation herself,
Quelle surprise! rolleyes

Oh. Still NOTHING from any other party. NOTHING!
To summarise, you’re basically ranting about the only party bothering to contact you wasting paper?

The other parties (even your preferred one) don’t give a toss about your vote because they think you’ll all just shuffle along to the polling station and mindlessly vote Tory as you have since the formation of the Conservative party, but that’s definitely better because whatshername is a traitor or something?

That’s why we have safe seats and crap MPs.

There hasn’t been any change in policy, if the Lib Dem’s have a majority then it will be revoked. If the don’t they will campaign for a second referendum.

I would guess that a good proportion of the electorate who might have been considering voting for the LibDems are just utterly confused by whatever their policies are today vs yesterday vs next week. Another hopeless shower.
What policies have changed?

In any case it’s hard to break promises when you’re never in a position where you might be able to keep them.

What social impact does second homes have on seaside towns that only exist as places to visit recreationally?

What social impact is being created by someone having a main family residence somewhere in the country and then a pad in one of the big cities to avoid commuting during the week?.

Also not all of those with second homes are rich and £5K+ in Council tax may be unaffordable.
They push up prices and make it difficult for locals and young people on lower wages to afford to buy. This can’t honestly be the first time you’ve heard about this? The seaside towns become ghost towns in the winter because locals can’t afford to live there.

I completely agree with this policy too.

The stupid get more stupid as each day passes. Wonder what he does for a 'living', eh?
Let's hope it proves to be irremovable and he spends a sub-zero night standing there!
Cut round it with a Dremel, and take him to the police station until he can pay for the repairs to the bus.

If he then has to go to A&E to have his little bit of bus removed, make him wait at least 24 hours in triage, and charge him at least £1000 for our trouble.
Oh nice one. Did the idiot bee-tard not consider the environmental cost of relacquering the bus to repair the glue damage?

Ah, glued to windscreen, was that out of courtesy or making sure the driver could see his sorry arse before driving off?!!

Seems to me that the AN interview with swinson revealed that she is another politician that changes her stance on policy with the change in wind direction. She was left with zero option but to admit that she says one thing to the electorate and another opposite in the HoC.
It’s doesn’t say that at all. She made a decision based on the information she had at the time and later decided (and admitted) it was a mistake.

What’s wrong with that?

The Economist (bastion of Adam Smith free market liberalism) rejects both Labour and the Conservatives and backs the Lib Dems at this general election.

That should give any prospective Tory voter pause for thought.
Sure, but if you don’t want Corbyn in you simply have to vote Tory. Voting Lib Dem is a wasted vote in this regard.
That logic is exactly why we have tribal politics and safe seats and crap elections with everyone fighting over a few marginals. This is the worst election in recent history. Maybe if people just looked at the individual parties and their policies we might have something better than we have now.

She just got torn another new one on Radio 4 Womens' Hour. Yes, Womens' Hour, I was listening!
Ridiculed for not speaking out about sexual harassment (a prominent case) in her own party when she was women and equality minister.
Lambasted for taking potshots at BoJos family and family life yesterday, and questioned whether she though BoJo would be sexist if he questioned her own parenting skills.

She'll be gone. Very soon.

I must say that Andrew Neill has nothing on the lady that interrogated Swinson. She was terrifying but I liked her style of interviewing. Has BoJo been put in front of her yet? She'll make mincemeat of him.
