Just asking for clarification.
Some would assume you were some kind of coward brave enough to harm those more vulnerable than yourself on the road but not even brave enough to justify it on a website. Behaviour probably symptomatic of a life of frustration and powerlessness. Still, I'm sure that isn't the case, I assume you have your own reasons for making a daft statement and running away when given the chance to explain it. Toddle pip old boy
Aside from contravening the 'no personal insults' posting rule, the irony of calling a man a coward, from behind your keyboard, who has served this country in some of the world's most hostile locations is staggering even for PH.Some would assume you were some kind of coward brave enough to harm those more vulnerable than yourself on the road but not even brave enough to justify it on a website. I don't know who or what grumfotuck is or what he has done in the past. I was asking for clarification on one comment he made about hoping a cyclist would undertake him. He refused and resorted to petty abuse so I stand by my comments.wolves_wanderer said:

He may well have served in some of the world's most hostile of places, but that pales into mere insignificance when you enter the bear pit that is the NP&E section of PH!So the roads were busy with school run traffic, what did he expect the pavements to be like then?
His father just happened to be passing, if he HAD got into a car, wouldn't the mother have mentioned this, and given the reg to the police, and posted it on Facebook, along with his picture, to make finding him easier?
And what on earth does is meant by the comment "It was a hit and run, but it wasn't"?
This guy messed up big time, and is still in denial about it.

Too much talk about his life ruined not enough about being sorry.
bks he didn't know it was illegal.
Plus plenty. bks he didn't know it was illegal.
"Oh poor me", you fking prick. It's a 3 year old girl. If I'd have done that, I'd have been mortified and would only have left the scene if the father was threatening me with a hammer or something.
To defend him is a joke.

If you behave irresponsibly/illegally and injure someone, that's part of the consequences. That's just the self-justification and whinging of someone having to live with their actions.
No adult should be riding on the pavement, ever, no excuses.

You do realise they probably interviewed him for about 20 minutes then took about two sentences from it so they can rile up their readers and get lots of shares on their website?
Ssshh don't derail the thread with common sense. Serving the country has been mentioned so its building up to something good.funkyrobot said:

It's only the cyclists who think the cyclist did nothing wrong, strangely enough?
Has anyone actually said that?I don't think anyone is disputing that this cyclist is a complete imbecile.
Idiots are everywhere. Beihind the wheel of a vehicle, on a bicycle, drunk and wanting a fight in a club on a Friday night. You have to plan for idiots.
