Corbyn has also said anti semites have no place in the labour party.

Believe that as well?
And all those chaps with Ak47's, just coincidence they were there as well, he says he is a peace maker smile

There are quite a few in here who could do with throwing off the ropes of self doubt and negativity.

The sun will still rise and set, 99% of life will continue exactly as always.

Boris could be exactly the shot in the arm the UK needs. Good to have a optimist as PM

Yes, because all you need is optimism.

I quite like this from an article in everyone's favourite newspaper.

"It’s quite extraordinary, isn’t it, when the new leader of the country opens his inaugural speech with: “There may be people here who wonder quite what they have done!” – having to address the fact that many people in the room are coming to terms with the fact they’ve got st on their shoe."

Your premise was that Labour would fight an election on a Leave policy. They won't, if they want to do well they'll fight on remain. In this instance you could just squeeze a Lib dem/lab co-elition.

Tom Watson has his eye on the top job too.

I think being optimistic about the future of the country is a good thing. A few people on here and elsewhere seem to be beaten before they have started. All they can do is list reasons why it won’t work or why it’s too much.

In the end it is all just resistance to change.

Good leaders share a vision, communicate it and yes sell it with a bit of polish on it. I much prefer to set off on a journey with a Happy go lucky positive companion than someone who worries and moans all the time that the tea might taste funny when we get there.

By being jolly about it?

I'd love to know how all this could have panned out if the people in charge of the process had actually been remotely enthusiastic about it. Obviously a handful were. Everyone else has spent the last few years looking like someone's taken a poo in their lunch.

I don't think Boris is going to find enough enthusiasts either. And he'd be equally enthusiastic about remaining if it suited him.

Current fawning over him reminiscent May when she first took office and the Brexit mob were still buying her "bloody difficult woman" act.

The meltdown when they realise he's not their messiah will be amusing to watch.

Say what you like but that victory speech, to an audience that contained more than its fair share of assholes who would stab him if they could, was extraordinarily well received. And packed to the rafters to boot. A dose of reality that augurs well.

This is why we, as a country, are screwed.

For those few sane people left can I recommend the following:

I’m old enough to have been at the 1990 Tory party conference, when a packed auditorium of party faithful and a platform comprising all the Govt and party officers stood and chanted “Ten more years!” At Margaret Thatcher.

Six weeks later, she was gone.

Don’t read too much into how the room behaved.

Oh yes, so different to all those other politicians who are absolutely all men and women of high principle and scrupulously put their duty and service ahead of their own ambition.

Dear God is this really the standard we are at now. Is ambition for its own sake a bad thing ? Surely it is what you achieve when you get in that counts, wanting the job isn’t a bad thing!

Bojo was a pretty decent Mayor and I reckon he will make a decent PM. I don’t see a waiting hordes of other talent ready to do the job (in any party) All these folks who say he is a thicko and want to abuse him. Well why not go into politics yourselves if you are such hot st at running a country ?

This has become a trend for many many decades, The great British EMPIRE running around like a puppy after the yanks.
Here's another example, the US puts a bafoon in charge of the country, the UK follow the leader and find the closest thing that resembles what the US, put a poor man's equivalent to donald trump, happens to be this Boris the Bafoon.

Really quite embarrassing.
Wtf's a Bafoon.?

EFA. It's ok, just found it.
