Now it starts in Abkhazia. More headaches for our favorite dictator.

To the conspiracy loonies and fellow travelers this is obviously a US/NATO/EU conspiracy. Just look at the timing, precisely when things are still hot in Ukraine. I mean, it couldn't possibly be that people are genuinely fed up of corrupt and subservient cronies in power could it be?

I think I read something suggesting that the Black Sea could be the next North Sea in terms of natural resources. Putin wants control of the Black Sea (and so does the EU/US)?

Sorry if this has already been mentioned, not been following this thread closely.

Whatever happens in Abkhazia, it will stay in the Russian "orbit". To be protected from Georgia.

Some of Putin’s apologists might genuinely believe that Russia is not interfering in Ukraine, hasn’t invaded Crimea and isn’t a racist, fascist dictatorship ruled by a kleptomaniac dwarf.

The development of the Black see oil fields has been on-going for years. The amount comming out of Russian ports is quite staggering. If the west wanted to control the flow of ships exiting the black sea via the Bosphorus straits all we (the "Royal we" BTW) would have to do would be to blockade both entrances. Job done!

Yes, media spotlight has shifted. Not an opportunity wasted it seems.

Heading west from the Russian border?

Mariupol this morning. The DNR building was stormed and captured, 5 terrorists/separatists killed.

Ukraininans throwing stones at Russian embassy. Police does nothing to stop attacks. I was under impression that the host nation is under obligation to do everything to protect embassies from mob?

The Ukrainian foreign minister was outside the embassy at the time calling Putin a f**ker apparently.

The consensus on the military forum that I read is that they are Ukrainian T-64s. The amount of disinformation from all sides in this conflict is staggering.
