I wouldn't want a child of mine being taught at school by someone wearing a gun.

Arming teachers is idiotic logic.

Then the other teachers will shoot them with a single shot before anything bad happens, straighten their white hats and ride off into the sunset.

We just knew that given a choice the US would opt to arm Teachers and Other School Staff before they'd massively tightn up gun laws didn't we laugh

More guns in the classroom...thats the way forward...hell yeah!
Bring that into the UK along with a license to kill and education standards would go up

Interesting point. Wouldn't it be easier to ban black hats in schools, rather than introducing more guns in school?

Welcome to 1994. Joe Biden put this forward nearly 20 years ago. As has been said several times before, Resource Officers have long since been in US schools. And they did tighten up on gun laws - it made no difference to anything, which is why the "assault rifle ban" was allowed to time out.

Rubbish.
How many guns are in the UK?
Make sure you include the illegally held ones...
According to the UK NRA today:
Shooting is a legal and major participation sport in the UK, and today over 700,000 certificates are granted covering 1.8m rifles and shotguns.

Not sure how many illegal ones though.

But if they don't wear black hats how can you tell they are the bad guys? That's just crazy talk.

Well, at least people might learn how to spell licence.

(PS: McWigglebum's profile says that he is from the UK, so no US spelling get-out applies.)

Not sure illegal gun certificates would work. Nice idea though.
