Dorries and Rees-Mogg accused of interfering with Partygate probe.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-66051280

BBC said:
Former ministers Nadine Dorries and Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg are among those heavily criticised by a Commons committee of waging a campaign to undermine its investigation into Boris Johnson.

The ex-PM quit as an MP after the committee found he misled Parliament over Covid breaches at No 10.

In a new report, the committee accused the allies of Mr Johnson of mounting "vociferous attacks" on the committee.

Other Tories criticised include Dame Priti Patel and Lord Zac Goldsmith.

The former home secretary and current Foreign Office minister are among seven MPs and three peers identified as attacking the committee.

The others were Tory MPs Mark Jenkinson, Sir Michael Fabricant, Brendan Clarke-Smith and Dame Andrea Jenkyns and peers Lord Cruddas and Lord Greenhalgh.
How low are this lot prepared to sink?

The whole lot of them are utter filth.

Angela Rayner was correct, must have been awful having to apologise.

The whole lot should be de-selected, well the ones who haven't resigned or claimed they're doing so and then not actually done it.

After all that's what Dorries called for for those who voted for the report.

How on earth did this lot think that being 'loyal' to BJ would be in their interests whatsoever?? He's damaged goods & I can't see any way back to parliament for him.

It got them ministerial jobs and in most cases peerages. How has it not worked out for them?

The answer to the question "Why didn't I get a peerage?".

Moggy really didn't deserve that Knighthood. But part of me thinks that despite his tw*tishness he is more than aware that Boris would inevitably mess everything up and he achieved his ambition. He's a Knight while most of his cohorts are left with nothing and in the political and social wilderness. He played his hand and got what he wanted.

Yes - although a large part of "his hand" are the cards he got dealt (his family background) rather than his skills in playing the game.

But it's OK. He's not called Corbyn. If your a Tory you can be friends/indebted to the Russians. Can't do any harm, it's not like they are in power or anything. Oh, oops, wait a minute....

Rayner's mistake was not using the word 'some'. Some people are scum, some are Tory scum. Some Labour, whatever. But crikey, the way this is unfolding she was pretty close to the mark, wasn't she? And I can say this because this is the GRRRR BORIS thread, isn't it?

Whenever I see Rees-Mogg I think of an inept boss of mine who was always critical of whatever anyone did. Never made a decision in his life. He too had a weirdly shaped head, and hair to go with it. He displayed a conceit that fooled no one. He was quite intelligent, with a good degree, but everything he touched, every option he picked, went badly wrong.

As for Dorries, there are few who would notice whether they were being savaged by her.

Patel, Braverman, Goldsmith, Fabricant (Fabricant? No one would want him on their side. He's like the last person picked for a game of football in the park) and the other wasters are an embarrassment. It's appalling that they have influence in the running of this country.

I'm not a fan.

Yes indeed but I don't think Lord Moggy Sr was all that bad. Certainly wouldn't have acted as his son has in my view.

Even if he was equally clueless (hence the Mystic Mogg nickname) he didn't seem to have that vindictive streak.

No, this is the GRRRR DONT CRITISISE BORIS thread.

After 3 years of an utter st show, you can't come up with anything better than "grrrr boris" as an attempt to shut down conversation?

I actually find it quite funny how people lost their st over that one.

She was wrong to say it but my god it turns out she had a point.

Never mind Mogg.. the whole concept of having to address bloody Patel as ‘Dame Preti Patel’ is ludicrous. But you can be sure she’ll be milking it like a dairy heifer in the conference programmes she gets paid a bundle to appear in, as the keynote rent-a-gob.

Sorry, I'm not understanding your point. Its been a long day. I cannot abide Johnson the politician or his sycophants, and have been consistent and vociferous on this point over the years. I'm not trying to shut down any conversation. Oh, and I'm long time supporter of Rayner despite much disbelief and mockery on here for confessing this heinous sin!!
