It has low levels of corruption.
Corruption in Sweden is rife, i've lost count of the number of arms contacts that have been investigated. Bribes and the 'black economy' are common place and seen as a way of life. It ranks low on international corruption leagues because the threshold is set higher. In the last year alone at least one Judge and one GP have been publicly outed for corruption in the media, both got 're-trained' and continued working.
Just to reinforce my point about the black economy [cash in hand] being a way of life here the Swedish Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson has been hit by domestic staff revelations following a report by Expressen over the weekend which revealed that a cleaner detained outside the Prime Minister's house did not have a working permit and was facing a deportation order.

While the news has once again shed light on the black economy, the fact that a person facing a deportation order was working in the home of the Prime Minster has also raised serious security concerns. She said today that there is reason for reflection after the revelation that the cleaning company she hired (cash in hand) did not have a collective agreement over pay and working conditions.

Aljazeera has noticed Sweden, mind you it's been relatively quiet this week as there's only been two bombs, 6 shootings and 6 murders.

They don't often mention crime rates in Italy, France, Turkey or Peru either. They're quite busy with parties and blackmail at the moment.

It’s ok, our trip to visit supplier in Uppsala has been called off down to the Covid restrictions in Swedon. I will escaped being bombed, stabbed, raped or sub machine gunned for now.

Uppsala, is pretty tame - it's all happening further south these days.

Fingers crossed you’re able to get out there soon.

Visited a client in Gothenburg in October, first time I've been to Sweden. Have been back twice more since then and planning to go again in April and July.

Wonderful place, friendly people, not been shot or pillaged yet either.

I cannot help but notice that you have omitted rape from that list.

One of my favourite lines from an obscure 80s movie that is a guilty pleasure:

Pirates used to really operate around here... raping and pillaging!

God, I'd hate to be pillaged.

Of course, it's all the far rights fault. Definitely not scumbags looking for an excuse to riot for 3 days and burn out hundreds of police vehicles

Everyone knows that particular culture are prone to getting uppity so why poke them by giving them a reason to play up?

They are pandered to the rest of the time because of this sort of thing.

An act specifically designed to stir up trouble. No other reason. How did it help anyone?

Does that make the rioting ok then?

I think the rioting is definitely not OK.

But burning of books normally gets quite a bad press on PH. Do you like the idea of burning books because you don't like what's in them?

Not in the slightest, but its going to happen if they feel wronged.
