beer That's good. I don't know if she has, but to my ear it does sound that she has maybe a larger than normal tongue or some obstruction, I am no expert though.

JRM probably the only person to respond to Ali G with such grace and dignity

It sounds to me like she has some form of mild speech impediment, similar to Jamie OLiver, whatever it is,
Jamie Oliver suffers from Mockney-itis.

Same thing that the retard Joe Wicks (Lean in 15) Suffers from.

Ignore Jawknee I have said before he is but a boy in a mans world. I am quite capable to do a mental count so that mine and Dianes orgasms coincide. Jawknee is still pondering over how to unhook her bra.

Techiedave, I do hope you are never of the impression that your contributions are in any way undervalued - the spirit and delivery are inimitable.

You are brilliantly disturbed biggrin

I'm of the opinion that Techiedave is the only normal one and we are disturbed wink

If disturbation is the price of Abbotphobia I'm happy in my netherworld, thanks.

I don't think it is, imagine a surgeon about to operate on you coming out with a load of street talk before lights out?.

So, speaking without trace of local or regional accent is snobbish now? Sounds like reverse class snobbish to me. People from all regions of our gloriously mongrel nation are sure to be offended. There ought to be another -ism lying around unused somewhere.

I didn't say regional accent, I said street talk, please don't confuse them. You can have any accent you like if you can string a coherent sentence together you enhance your credibility. If you come out with a load of slang who will trust you that you know your stuff?

JRM is an excellent watch as ever, Wetherspoons Tim Martin was excellent, but the Scottish lady showed just how inadequate Dimbleby is at holding a leash on guests who aren't housetrained.

I like JRM too, his appearance always reminds me of Walter The Softie from The Beano, but he's very far from that.

I hoped for more from Tim Martin. Like others I met him once in one of his pubs (The Imperial, Exeter - rather nice for a 'Spoons) and had a brief but entertaining chat with him. He seemed to be a bit out on a limb on the end there, seemed to have a duff mic too.

Angela Eagle, strewth, to think this woman was putting herself up as a credible leader of the Opposition not a few months ago, an absolute lightweight.
Agree on the Beano reference, I thought the same.

He is surgically articulate and a joy to listen to - I've watched a few clips including one where he did very well against Ali G.

Agree on Eagle too - hopeless.

Rees-Mogg's constituency (next to mine) has some quite deprived areas in it, but he's a good constituency MP - his family is from Somerset and he was brought up in the area he now represents, which is more than can be said for a lot of MPs.

He doesn't take a penny in expenses either, I believe. I used to be a constituent of his and met him once. Thoroughly nice chap.

ETA oops just checked he claimed £1400 quid for his office last year. Still very much below the average.

Exactly! who the feck are they? never heard of them, mind you watching the HOC this afternoon I had no idea who any of them were? Some of them struggle with a coherent sentence!

ETA I do know Hugo Rifkind, should be sensible, I had no idea the Guardian employed priests!

Oooh, you'll love Giles Frazer, priest and Guardian journalist. Gets very shouty when aroused.

If Trump crops up, expect rude and sweary stuff.

He's one of those indignant progressives.
