Scottish Referendum / Independence - Vol 2
Discussion
Those of you who go on and on and on about the SNP withholding information should read this article. It's a few years old but a colleague mentioned this earlier and it's an interesting read: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/this-britain/...

Our head office have scrapped their plans to start full production out of the Scotland branch as they are waiting to see what happens with the referendum
The independence referendum is directly reducing the level of employment and investment in Scotland?Who'd've thunk it.

You'll have to start blaming Wilson instead of Thatcher for all your ills then.Edinburger said:

Nope, either way. The SNP have already royally cocked up this opportunity, only a fool would trust them if Scotland ever got a second chance.
How can you say that? The campaign has barely started and the referendum terms have only just been agreed!ViperPict said:

The debates have been open for as long as you wanted. You do not need permission to talk about stuff by anyone in government on these forums, you know?
So, one question. Independence, or not. No talk of other powers... Interesting. Figured they would run it that way. As for the 16 & 17 year olds voting, I still think that is daft. Will they be able to vote on the other side of the election?
I believe the SNP want to allow 16 and 17 year olds to vote in all elections. So, one question. Independence, or not. No talk of other powers... Interesting. Figured they would run it that way. It's potentially a dangerous game for the Unionists to give the electorate no other option apart from independence than the status quo. All polls (IYBSTAP) indicate that the status quo has been the least popular of all options for Scotland.

It's almost worth Scotland failing to gain independence just to watch VP blame everyone.
Periodical subscriptions are the measure of a man.

Steady on with the language. By all means insult them if they are avoiding a question you asked, or ignoring the obvious, (), but you seem to be getting nasty without really actually discussing anything. At least broach some points, or subject matter first.

Aren't they postponing rather than pulling investment? The reason I asked about it yesterday is that's the first time I've heard of a company making tactical decisions due to the referendum.
I had dinner with a Director of an international financial services company a few weeks ago. They employ around 3,000 people in Scotland and I asked their view or concerns on the referendum and they're not concerned at this stage.
Interesting your employers are different. Have you been preaching in the restaurant about a communist Scotland?!

Do you think that a NO vote will result in independence supporters just forgetting about it?
Do they not like democracy? I guess no response to this one
No doubt costing the UK and Scotland more money, more investment and more jobs.

But postponing or cancelling does it matter
The referendum is giving them jitters

I was going to say it hasn't but looking through the tread it appears it has been answered saying basically that you lot shall ignore democracy and carry on regardless.
No doubt costing the UK and Scotland more money, more investment and more jobs.
Read the posts again then as you've clearly misunderstood them...No doubt costing the UK and Scotland more money, more investment and more jobs.
