So, did Boris hand over his phone/WhatsApp history today or has something more salacious miraculously appeared?

Wilfred seems to have eaten the piece of paper with his passwords on it.

wonder what Rishi offered him to forget passcode?

have him lifted by two uniformed officers for contempt of court. He'll remember instantaneously.

Surely Whatsapp messages are held in cloud storage, not on the physical phone? Just get a replacement SIM card for the original phone number, stick it in a new phone and restore the Whatsapp account?

I am sure Boris can set and forget a SIM PIN quicker than I can write this post. Has anybody reached out to Jennifer Arcuri for IT support?

They should just take his current phone and ask him for the passcode.
I can say with virtual certainty it will be the same code on the old phone.

At least his phone isn't at the bottom of the north sea. I dare say there are people who could crack his password on minutes. He really is reinforcing his reputation as a lying POS.

Courtesy of Cold War Steve.

Sums up quite nicely what "our next Churchill" will be remembered for.

That was my instant reaction to this. Lying tt that he is, they should just tell him he'll be paying the bill for having his old phone 'opened' by our security services! A £20k bill for that might jog his memory! Seems to add weight to the suspicion he has something to hide! I really hope they show any incriminating stuff they find, and I'm sure they'll find some! God, we, the British Public voted for this lying tt! How fkin gullible are we?

It appears someone has found a record of the PIN on Bojo's old phone:

BBC: Boris Johnson's old phone could soon be accessed by Covid inquiry

I'm picturing a Space balls-esque scene.

Constable 1: the code was 1 2 3 4
Constable 2: that sounds like the code an idiot would have on his phone.
President Scroob Boris: that's the code I have on my phone.

How long would it take to guess the code do you think if it’s a 6 digit passcode and you had to wait for the iPhone delays if u guess wrong

He’s Defo got something to hide.

It’s bound to be the birthday of one of his children, so about 17 goes.

Seriously though the security services are able to to this fairly easily. It doesn’t even take that long,

It’s also worth remembering that “failing” to remember a phone passcode comes with a 3 month prison term (apparently it’s a popular tactic amongst the narcotic enthusiasts) unless the case is related to child safeguarding or national security. The prison term is then 5 years.

I wonder what would make him risk that? Potentially something that could get him in even more bother?

I expect the wider government are concerned about the disgraced ex Prime Minister Johnson’s phone messsges.

They will have had the work phone & sleeper phones for their dodgy dealing. Johnson is such a car crash, he probably sent the whole lot from the one phone!

Could take down a lot with him..

This difficulty accessing his phone is baloney. Give it to GCHQ, job done in an afternoon.
