People like me used to, and enjoyed doing so, but I will decline to participate in a thread where other participants are having a 'discussion' like this one, thanks. I suspect others feel similarly, and the way feedback has been treated rather reinforces that view.

What’s done is done.

Let’s draw a line under it?

Enjoyable ? Question Time was last Thursday. You've added zero to the thread apart from moaning about what's been added since.

I (and others) have discussed Burnham and the incoming lockdown. What have you discussed ? Granted it's been heated but what do you expect ? It's PH.

Over to you. What did you think about QT ? Burnham ? Lockdown ? Furlough V2 ? North V South ?

I just find it really weird when someone has nothing to add but moans about what others have said.
You haven't 'discussed' anything - everyone else's posts are dismissed as lies. your opinions have nothing to back them up and yet you consider them facts. And I suspect that the reason the thread has died and most others aren't contributing is that you come across as a tt of the highest order who no-one want to have a 'discussion' with. Just my opinion however.
Can't you read ? I've asked for evidence to support people's opinions. Nothing more.

The only lies have been when people have denied saying what they did, in fact, say.

If you're going to call someone a tt at least get your facts right. Moron.

Fair enough. Only returning the compliment. If a complete stranger accused you of something you hadn't actually done in person and then called you a tt though, what would you do ?

Happy to move on. What would you like to discuss now, my good man ? Snakebites ? Gatorskins are your friend. See, I'm not all bad.

What's happened to this thread?

I miss the days of Techiedave, or whatever his name was, bemoaning his unrequited love for Diane Abbott and what he'd like to do to pretty much every other female on the panel..
He left his wife of several years and enjoyed vodka laden nights of pleasure flitting between unmentionable acts with the androgynous baroness who cannot be blamed for legal reasons and a chubby temptress who was always the lady

.
In my case, I actively pulled back from the conversation - at which point you went to pains to insult me further and attempted to continue the conflict.

For pity's sake Tuna and Red, can't you both just declare a truce? Or use the pm system to continue your spat? Please!

What I want to know is this: all those who wanted Dimbleby removed as QT host; do you now want him back? Or someone else? In my opinion Fiona Bruce is just hopeless. Andrew Neill is available isn't he?

I think that ship has sailed - we discussed him being the obvious D. successor on thread but sadly it never happened.

I wouldn't have Dimbleby back. He was well past his sell by date when he finished. Bruce is sadly out of her depth. She lacks the insight needed to host a program such as QT. Paxman?

DD was a huge loss for the programme. I agree FB is absolutely terrible. AN would be imo a little too biased, or rather would be seen as too biased.

I think Emily Maitliss would be a good shout. Wasn’t she on the shortlist?

Or the guy from Hardtalk, I forget his name.

Sadly Neil isn’t: he’s off to pastures new to set up a new ‘right of centre’ news channel.
Fiona Bruce is way more irritating than Dimblebore: her inability to check her interjections disrupts the flow of discussion and derails the programme. That said I think the change of environment courtesy of the ‘rona is probably as bad for the programme. The format especially during the last few years of Brexit had become a bear pit. Now it just resembles a sparsely attended session of the WI.

The thread train wreck of the last few days was something to behold. Monty Python would have been proud.

Christ on a bike. Maitliss? It would kill the programme.

Emma Barnet has at least shown she’s an equal opportunities bully, and did a pretty good job on Newsnight but I think she’s off to women’s hour now.

My apologies. I've added him to the ignore list.

I never wanted Dimbleby removed, can tolerate Bruce quite a bit despite the constant interruptions. However, I think the whole format is essentially broken. The covid audience may have made it worse, but the key problem is the guests. This isn't meaningful political debate in any sense these days - everyone is stuck to their script, the inherent biases are glossed over and no-one seriously challenges any viewpoints for fear of alienating some part of the audience.

From that perspective, Portillo was a welcome relief the other week.

Please, God. Let it be so. Rest assured I shall continue to highlight your lies, misrepresentation, rhetoric and bullst though. It's like shelling peas in a pod.

However, I agree with your observations concerning the politicians on the show. They have a script and they stick to it. But then again, they are politicians representing a party so what do you expect them to do ?
Some of the other guests say it like it is and this is quite refreshing. It shows politicians for what they are, I suppose.

Slightly worrying that he used to be a BiB.
Like an anally retentive Jack Regan.
