Beards, sandals etc. What is the difference between Greens and LibDems anyway. They have all voted Green at protest that the party has joined forces with the darkside (Tories).

She has now apologised. According to sources after a massive bking from Ed.

Which means he understood the inference and so did she.

Wonder how many she added to the UKIP vote tonight?
Even the Guardian has given this scathing comment on the situation - http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2014/nov/...
She's quit from the shadow cabinet apparently

At least she stepped down without too much of a delay or fight.

Twitter is great for people outing themselves. smile

If I were a politician I would NEVER have a twitter account. Posting my random and spontaneous thoughts would not endear me to voters. At best I would have one run by central office that I would have no access to at all!

So what point is the Labour Shadow Attorney General trying to make? What a snob.

Thornberry: It was a house covered in British flags. I’ve never seen anything like it before. My point is that it’s a remarkable image of a house completely covered in flags. There’s three of them.

Hmmm British flags?
Clear evidence she's a) a fkwit b) egregiously disingenuous c) pays no attention to anything during any football tournament in which England are playing.

This is exactly the sort of asinine, patronising, metrocentric 'Islington Intellectual' bks which has caused Labour to become as irrelevant as they have in the last 4 years. The sooner the current front bench of the opposition are culled the better for all of us, as this lot couldn't come up with an original thought if they tried.

Yep, would be hard to find a better illustration of that.

I am sure she will be swiftly replaced by a long serving hard working Labour party member you know the sort an ex docker or a ex miner perhaps.

Yep and also confirms my thoughts that the Lib Dems face almost certain annihilation across the country.
I must admit that I am a bit confused by the collapse in LibDem support. It seems to be less than 2%.

Is this because they are a bunch of backstabbers? I don't think so.

Is it because they are liars? Well Cameron has told some huge porkies, but the Conservatives are not in the doldrums.

Is it because they behave inappropriately with young boys? I'm sure that some Labour MP's may have exhibited the same behaviour.

As far as I can see, they haven't even covered up the sexual abuse of young, vulnerable, white girls.

Life is really unfair.
LibDem vote was made up almost entirely of 'protest' vote?
Don't forget the youngsters who were just about to start uni, voted lib dems due to no tuition fees, then got st on.

So it turns out this silly tart Thornberry has given the Cons the perfect feed for their post result spin of it's all Labour's fault.

Andrew Neil and Nick Robinson are saying that parliamentary convention means that any political defection from now onwards would mean no by-election.

Yeah I believe there is a six month cut off point regarding by elections in the run up to a general election.

Ho ho ho, can't wait to see the results of this one!

Wikipedia says she's a Barrister?

She's Common Purpose as well is she not?

Being Common Purpose could explain looking down her nose at the plebs. She's one of the chosen ones isn't she?

Wikipedia says that her father was a Professor and her mother a Teacher and they divorced. I've lived in married quarters and an ex-council house.

You'd think a Law graduate in their 50s would have more sense.

I can't see how her actions are compatible with the role of AG. Unless Attorney Generals are supposed to be judgmental?

I am sat here absolutely shocked and stunned after watching BBC News of all shows. It seems they could not find one person who was not voting UKIP in Rochester and Strood.

Political Revolution happening right here folks.
I was stunned too, they featured a young black woman, and a turban wearing Sikh guy who both said they were both voting UKIP. How much longer can the 'racist' tag possibly be used by LibLabCon.

Well I can't wait up any longer to hear a foregone conclusion result.

So I'll sleep easy, but I bet CMD, Ed and poor ol' Cleggie will all have purple nightmares.

The Kipper train keeps rolling. Nothing seems to be able to stop it. And more keep boarding!

I liked what Reckless said tonight when asked if there would be many more defections?
He said 'Yes, masses of them in the next six months' ...he was talking not about MPs, but about voters.

That train is going to be bloody overloaded when it comes into the General Election station.

Good!

I was not that familiar with Emily Thornberry, so had a look at her appearances on QT. Given the error of judgement in her Tweet I am not sure she should have been anywhere near press regulation.
