It seems like you’re the dimwit because Pontins aren’t petty racists.

Surname filtering /= racism.
Do you mean /= ?

This basically boils down to how society has resigned itself to tolerate such bad behaviour. It can't do anything to guard itself from petty crime as someone, somewhere will cry foul.

So the criminal carries on knowing that the same society it is committing crimes against is the same society which is protecting them to do so. They're laughing at how easy it is to take the piss of out decent people.
Quite right. We used to put up with petty racism like this where decent people had the piss taken out of them because they shared characteristics with people who committed crimes. Luckily it is on the way out as people call out bullst like this.
Thank you for proving my point.
Thank you for falling headlong into a very obvious dimwit trap.
It seems like you’re the dimwit because Pontins aren’t petty racists.

Surname filtering /= racism.
What is it then if it isn't targeting someone based on their membership or perceived membership of a racial or ethnic group?

If it looks like a duck -

it might be at risk of being stolen. Or vandalised. Or be threatened with violence. Or have excrement dumped on it.

Why are taxpayers funding such people? I’d prefer the funds were spent on the police / HMRC.

When I put it up I thought that "local government traveller outreach officer" was so obviously ridiculous that even the microbrains around here would see it as a joke. Nope.

You're a credulous fool who believes anything written that agrees with his prejudices. I guess we all have our crosses to bear.

No, I base my opinion on fact. Every single encounter I’ve ever had with your best mates has been utterly horrendous. Family and property threatened, all sorts of things that I would be rightly arrested and convicted for, yet they are not.

Weird, all my best mates live lives of blameless bourgeois domesticity. I'll have a word.

I suppose the positive aspect of all this hoo-hah is that a definitive list of surnames of
undesirable families is in the public domain, surely a boon for the hospitality industry.

Oh the irony is delicious, especially from someone who seems quite proud to proclaim he is trolling. You aren't very bright are you?
