and people who have no control over those that dictate their lives and manipulate their society. No thanks, you can keep your 1984 (fake capitalist) socialist utopia.
How come our own pet Socialists Corbyn et al want out of it, then?rs1952 said:
You have an unfortunate habit of not taking a blind bit of notice of anyone who doesn't reinforce your prejudices.
Try reading 2CV's post again - he has already explained to you in detail how the EU is just as democratic as the UK parliament - this "ruled by unelected bureaucrats in Brussels" Hare Krishna style chant is utter bullshyte and should be treated as such.
Unfortunatey the UK population has for many years seen the EU elections as some sort of inconsequential joke. That's why they have kept voting for tossers in UKIP in the EU elections who do fk all except milk the system for all the cash they can (back on topic here) and then complain that the UK voters aren't being listed to.
Of course they're not - they keep electing usuless tossers to the EU parliament.
This could get a bit circular if I'm not careful...
Only circular because I disagree, it is you who cannot take people having an opposing view to yours which I hate to tell you is my right (and yours), hence we have votes in elections.Try reading 2CV's post again - he has already explained to you in detail how the EU is just as democratic as the UK parliament - this "ruled by unelected bureaucrats in Brussels" Hare Krishna style chant is utter bullshyte and should be treated as such.

Is it just the EU you have a beef with, or are you as solidly against any and all supranational organisations?powerstroke said:

Mmm. The UKIP MEPs work SOOOO hard at the jobs they campaigned to do. Remind me, don't they effectively dilute the UK's voting strength by a third, since they can't even be arsed to actually vote? The one bit of the job they take seriously is the salary.confirms how daft you are , say what you like they have worked hard to free us ..

Try asking Nick Clegg about his voting record, is he doing the Job the voters of his constituency ? or was he given the job of trying to subvert Brexit ? Laughable double standards by A remainer again.PurpleMoonlight said:
His voting record, or lack thereof, is a matter of fact not an accusation.
Or are you claiming the EU fabricated them?
I have never questioned his voting record which is very poor, as are those of other UKip MEP. Or are you claiming the EU fabricated them?
It is not however as bad as a good number of MPs including the record of N.Clegg's when he was in the HoC is all I said.

You're right. BUT...Farage, over his entire time in the European Parliament, has a voting record of 37.8%
https://www.votewatch.eu/en/term8-nigel-farage-2.h...
Clegg's voting record across all three terms was 31.9%
http://www.publicwhip.org.uk/mp.php?mpn=nick_clegg
BUT... his record before government was 42.5%. Members of government have an inherently contradictory dual role - they're both trying to run the government and represent their constituents. That inevitably takes its toll.
It's not a party thing, either.
Cameron's record whilst in No10 was even lower.
http://www.publicwhip.org.uk/mp.php?mpn=david_came...
Brown?
http://www.publicwhip.org.uk/mp.php?mpn=gordon_bro...
Blair?
http://www.publicwhip.org.uk/mp.php?mpn=tony_blair
Nor is it restricted to the front bench...
Carswell?
http://www.publicwhip.org.uk/mp.php?mpn=douglas_ca...
Farage, of course, has never been anything more than a "back bencher" - not least because one of the differences between Westminster and the European Parliament is that that dualism doesn't exist. "Ministers" aren't also MEPs. Perhaps it would make sense to replicate that in the UK, to ensure elected representatives can do the job they were actually elected to do, without that distraction...?
