Part two of the Trump doc on C4 last night with a close look at the Atlantic city building spree in the late 80's & Trump consequently going skint & drawing a ton of negative press after he stopped paying the builders. Nicely interspersed with the odd sociopathic character assassination bunged in for good measure. Rather obvious dot joining exercise on the relationship with the press but instructive nonetheless.
It is hard to watch this series with an open mind, but it is very enlightening to the casual observer.

Over there, despite everything, his approval rating is still 41%, way higher than Macron whom the media adore. Rather than quit, I can still imagine that he will stand for a second term. His ego will prevent him denying himself the opportunity.

38% from poll of polls - that is mega low for an early term President.

I find it truly disturbing that he has 38% support.

Seems he still come out for Moore now.
Now why would that be, on a day that Kushner is in trouble, for not sharing emails from a private mail server, covering up his dealings with wiki leaks and Russians...
Kushner first for jail or a trump pardon?
The Donald knows it all links him to the Russians, so he'd rather risk talking about about sexual assault with his history, than have the Russian connections discussed again.
It's all starting to unravel...

Looks like the only Trump with any morals and dignity is again Melania, who dumped the donald on his tour (just a few hours before the rant tweets), stayed behind and came back via Alaska

You couldn't make it up (although to be fair, none of it's proven yet.) So much for the great hope of his more sensible supporters that he'd "do a Reagan*" and surround himself with good advisors.

Comments from Kushner that CNN must lose a lot of staff, the take over of some media org involving CNN that is held up by the DOJ.

No influence but what a heart. Let them eat cake.

More about the Trump Tower meeting. Goldstone is flying in to be interviewed by Mueller, he was in the meeting, "that never happened, was about adoption, oh that meeting, no we didn't discuss clinton dirt, oh yes we did I remember now..."
https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/rob-goldstone...

Also being investigated in another meeting to discuss what to say when it all came out

Looks like Jnr cannot bring home his elephant bits for the time being, family head is reviewing all the facts.

Re interpret. Might be a vote loser despite interested parties lobbying.

Actually, in Trump terms, it's been a good week. The stuff you've listed is all pretty mild (again, in Trump terms). The Russia investigation has been going on for so long it's lost any impact, the drugs in Panama will again have no impact (apart from giving credence to his supporters claims that the media have it in for him (plus in fairness it's hardly the Gibbering Orange Buffoon's fault).

In the meantime he's had the proposed tax cuts approved by Congress. That's going to be a massive benefit to him and his wealthy pals. And his supporters are going to lap it up (as will many Dem supporters).

Dodgy dealing in the South American country, but the T man know nothing. Or daughter.

That is to say selling the name to a building project that they did not really have any control over but a lot of dodgy people in the background did. It does appear they are several people removed from the direct dodgy dealing but......

The next time a Trump nominee faces a senate confirmation hearing, will they believe anything he or she says?

Is there any penalty for lying to a senate committee?
