Can I appeal to forum members to show a bit of respect for those of us who have lunch at this time these photo's could put anyone of their lunch.

Statement issued denying 'insulting' claim that Drunker was drunk:

There is no way that is Sciatica. I've had it a lot recently and had a disk decompression op last Nov. As others have said, if the pain is bad enough to impact your mobility like that then unless he's off his t*ts on morphine then you'd look like you were in pain.
That is soo true.
Some years ago I had severe pain from two ruptured disks and the sciatica associated.
My misses said the other day when the Juncker thing came on the news and I was lambasting the gravy train drunk.
'But I clearly remember you saying your slipped discs made you walk like you were drunk?'
Very true, and I did feel a bit like that, BUT my face told another story as it was grimaced with the pain and fear of someone even just nudging or bumping into me.

I'd kind of like to know what he was doing at a NATO summit, didn't realise the EU was in NATO....or is this in preparation for the "never gonna happen" EU military joining NATO?

Top quality food, drink, flights and lodgings plus expenses. He gets invited to all and sundry but picks the high events. It will be hilarious when he visits Trump and gets served grape juice.

You forgot the hip flask.

Whenever he's asked about the flask it's full of hot Vodka, it soothes the pain from the sciatica, so purely medicinal wink

JC gets a pay rise.

“The European Union’s highest grade of civil servants will be paid more than €20,000 euros (£18,000) a month for the first time, after EU salaries and pensions were increased retroactively from July 1 this year.

The increase means that Jean-Claude Juncker, the president of the European Commission and Donald Tusk, the president of the European Council, will earn about €32,700 euros a month, about €550 more than previously. The increase, meant to cover the cost of living, is equivalent to €6,600 a year. ”

The cost of living. It was 1982 when he or his wife last visited a supermarket or cooked their own meal. You couldn't make this st up smile

Before the pay rise.

The basic salary of the president of the EU commission is € 25.554,58 per month or € 306.654,96 per year. On top of that he receives a residence allowance of 15% of the basic salary, which is € 45.998,24, and a monthly allowance for representation expenses of € 1.418,07, or annually € 17.016.84. The total annual compensation is € 369.670,04.

So, the 45k and 17k are most likely untaxed. Let's also remember he won't pay for any F&B or travel. Any old excuse to have a 'working' lunch or dinner. And his pension will be what, 80% final for life? Wait till he retires next year and he come back as a consultant on 1k per hour
