He was just trying to talk out any question, dreadful performance, you have your principles and polices just bloody give them to us.

Instead we get him doing what his PR people have taught him to do, just time waste, count the clock down by going off at a tangent whilst giving no real answer.

Wee Timmy's got a sore arse tonight.

No question the worst performance I've seen in a while.

He just got decimated on TV and he's being mocked on Twitter

That'll be him done for - I'm calling it, nine seats.

That's more than they have now, I ran a prediction a while back and it came back with 3 seats min.

I predict a name change for the party. Perhaps dropping the 'S' in democrats as the plural seems somewhat misleading.

Anyway, I saw the whole car crash from start to finish. It was a disgrace, like any second rate politician, Farron simply talked over the interviewer. Happens so often these days, it boils my piss. Don't both talk at the same time, at each other. Have the courtesy to stfu and listen to the other person.

Tim will always have a place in my heart for that closing statement.

Summed up Theresa May and the tories perfectly - bam!
The words of a loser, Tim Who, amen to that.
What's the first rule of leadership?
Turn up.
I think he regrets that tonight!!!

If you based your entire opinion of the Lib Dems and Dim Tim Farron on his performance in the leader interviews then I'd say he and his party deserve to be wiped out.

An experienced hack like Andrew Neil is not going to let you talk over the top and get away with it, especially if you just waffling for the sake of it and not answering the question directly.

I'd say they'll be lucky to get 5 seats, maybe 6 at a push.

They have nine, they got eight at the 2015 General Election and won a by election at Richmond Park

You're right. I thought for some reason they only had 7 seats. The Richmond park one (as stated in my copy/paste) was against Zac Goldsmith as an independent, he's standing again as a conservative.

I found the comment I made on the yahoo! forums about their seats. Copied and pasted below.

[Copied from previous post a few days ago]
Tom Brake, 1510 majority over tories (7k UKIP votes)(will lose seat)
Alistair Carmichael, 810 maj over SNP (pretty safe)
Nick Clegg 2,353 maj over labour, (safe-ish)
Tim Farron maj 8,949 over tories, (dodgy)
Norman Lamb 4,043 over tory (unsafe, poss loss)
Greg Mulholland 2,907 over labour (tories distant 3rd)
Sarah Olney, 1,872 over ind Zac Goldsmith, loss. (Zac Goldsmith standing again as conservative)
John Pugh 1,322 over tories, loss
Mark Williams 3,067 over Plaid. Difficult to predict.

Only 2 lib dem MP's have fairly safe seats, 5 are on shaky ground and 2 will definitely lose.

The Kippers only have about three thousand votes or so and Labour even less, I don't think that's dodgy at all TBH

You're being awfully simplistic IMO and not considering that they might make gains in wealthy remain Tory areas in the south - they may, they may not, frankly I doubt that they will but I think that you're being overly pessimistic

Anyway if anybody is going to defeat Farron clearly it will be Mr Fishfinger jester

I caught the interview 'highlights' on the tv as i was leaving for work. How do these people (Abbott being another) think they can behave like this and it is acceptable? They have sod all to say anyway but take us all for mugs with their answer dodging tactics.
We already know the outcome for this odious little turd and his band of turds without a crystal ball.

I reckon old Cleggy could be out on his ear at this election.

He has a small 2353 margin over Labour so it only needs a small swing to them to send him to the dole queue, and UKIP and the Tories have over 10,000 votes between them.

Tactical voting anyone ?

I think I'll put a bottle of champers in the Fridge ready for Thursday evening/ Friday morning. Just on the off chance.

Cheers,

Tony

Perhaps he will relocate to Spain and take up a nice little earner working for the EU.
