How many have been vaccinated so far?

I genuinely think it's down to whatever surgery you're with aka a postcode lottery.
I think this is right, when we started this race to vaccinate everyone started at the same place (the very oldest groups) so it was probably quite uniform, but as we move down the list some surgerys will be moving down the groups faster due to their local demographic I would imagine, so you'll end up with people in their 40's getting done whilst other areas are still on the over 60's.I'm imaginging that as some of the younger age groups are more likely to refuse the jab, we'll probably start to move even faster through the ages than expected. Pleased that it looks like I'm well on course to have mine before the clubs reopen

I think the fact that there are separate systems, both run by the entrepreneurial parts of the NHS (GPs and Pharmacies) is helping the high throughput as they are competing for 'customers'.
GPs are hoovering up their regular punters which is why plenty of us 40-somethings have been done before the national system picks us up.
I suppose local GPs get an allocation, uses it in accordance with the guidelines - some have more older/sicker patients than others so some get to younger patients quicker.GPs are hoovering up their regular punters which is why plenty of us 40-somethings have been done before the national system picks us up.
As regards GPs using the same systems as the NHS my GP has only just got his head around using an Abacus
The GP letter said to only contact them if you couldn''t get to a national centre and mentioned that the local GP service were well short of vaccine.

Had mine today (52) along with 2 pals of the same age. No conditions fit and healthy. Mrs has not yet had the call she is 51 though so I assume will be soon.
Good news...hope the Mrs gets hers soon enough. How many extra fingers and toes have you grown so far, and is the subdermal chip picking up 5G messages clearly?

Got an email this afternoon promising me (and everyone else who received the email) a greater chance of getting a volunteering shift at a vaccination centre after a major ramp-up in the program from March 15th onwards when extra supplies will be delivered across England (it doesn't mention Scotland, Wales or NI)

Off for mine today
I heard a rumour that turning up with an uninvited guest (lower down the list..) might mean they get theirs too if there are cancellations earlier in the day, is there any truth in this ?
Some here have definitely done this, I tried it but it didn’t work for me. I think it depends on where it is and how they manage the vaccines each day. Definitely possible though.
Also depends on area a lot, busy urban areas are a lot less likely to have spares than quieter more rural areas

Red letter day here - my Mum is in a care home about 5 miles from us in Monmouthshire. To date zero cases for all staff and residents. Today all residents and staff had their second jab
