Oh fkitty-fk-fk not Emily Thornberry. She was insufferable after the election, poncing about as though they'd scored a 500 seat majority and barely inacpable of containing her glee at the hung parliament, whilst wallowing in blissfully naive ignorance at the long term ramifications of a hung parliament and the damage that can do to a country.

Although nice to see QT has gone back to the usual format of the left wing being represented by an annoying shrill hen with permanently knotted ovaries.

So, Emily Thornberry, I take it that Labour will be providing evidence that all similar buildings in Labour councils have been properly safeguarded against this kind of fire.

How can people not see that Labour's position on brexit is exactly the same as the Tories (outside the SM with a free trade deal)?

Why are people still buying this 'nasty hard Tory brexit' rhetoric?

Is it also a nasty hard labour brexit?

You do realise this is Emily "If I don't know the answer it's because you're sexist" Thornberry (or Lady Nugee for short)?

Tobias Ellwood is an idiot in the mould of TM.

Rather than keeping on with "let me be clear", why doesn't he ask Thornberry why she seems to think trade would reduce to zero if we revert to WTO. And just say to her "no control of our borders, no repatriation of law, no ability to trade with whomever we want would constitute a "bad deal"".

Also...what does "access" to the Single Market mean? We would have access even under WTO rules.

What a truly vile champagne socialist she is. A hypocritical champagne socialist who is utterly disgusting using the Grenfell tower for political gain. As if she has portrayed with no shame that under a Labour Government this sort of thing would never ever ever happen , get your pitch forks out for these rich companies exploiting the poor. FFS,

"Access" to the single market is a weasel word term, first used by Boris Johnson during the Brexit campaign to fool people into thinking nothing would change. North Korea has access to the single market or would have if it had anything to sell.

Note that on this show it's the LibDem and Labour candidates using it freely. They are using it as they know full well that membership of the Single Market is off the table at present, so they are using "access" to be synonymous. Which they are not.

As you note, even North Korea has access. So access is a given.

Bloody Thornberry; another moron with difficulty telling the difference between membership of the single market and access to the single market. What's with the yank? Scary conservative woman is more impressive than Tobias who's coming across a bit wet. Lamby is being Lamby. Usual QT audience filled with whooping poltroons, roll on TW.

Nick bloody Ferrari? WTF is this ste?

Thornberry gets a kicking on Labour's cheap vote buying during the election. Pre election they trying side with a Brexit that was staying in the single market. To get back their share of the Ukip vote they changed that and simply made one pledge to end free movement and then even said after the election that you needed to leave membership of the SM to fulfill all of what people voted for.
Since none of the top lot really seem to believe any of that or have any interest in ending free movement, this will be something they'll regret saying.

Except that he is a former Army captain who acted bravely during the Westminster attack. That shows he is far from an idiot I would have thought.

My 2yr old is more plausible than Farron ever was. But seriously on Lamb?

If he is the best the LibDems have I don't see them ever getting out of the low teens of seats and quite possibly see them going back to single digits.

His hysteria on Brexit is laughable. He does not appear to know the difference between access to and membership of the Single Market, and came across as thinking that unless we get a deal, trade with the EU will drop to zero. This is patently bks, so either he's using it as a fear tactic (which works really well. Not) or he believes it (which means he's a tool).

Much as I utterly disagree with his views on the EU, and the way he puts them across, Clegg has been the best leader of the LibDems in a very long time. I thought he did the best he could in coalition and more and more think they helped the Tories through that period. Especially on finances.

Bravery in the field does not necessarily equate to intelligence.

He was evasive, kept repeating the same soundbites and was unable to tackle Thornberry and Lamb head on despite them leaving themselves wide open for it. May comes across the same way to me. Unable to think on their feet. Little conviction in their politics. Very poor.

POrtillo, as ever was brilliant on TW, going through the usual suspects on the next leader, bunch of deplorables and naming the one name that pops up here a lot, Ruth. He enjoys his life so much ore out of politics.
His train show yesterday was good as well.
