Good luck with that, I think you will find that wherever you go there are issues. If you are not happy in the UK you will probably be the same in another country.

You are a whinger.

Once you move to NZ or Canada you will become just another expat whingeing about how much better the UK was.
no i think Canada is much better!

only thing i miss is the bike rides with my mates, unfortunately the advent of the unmarked police bike ruined that!

What's wrong with the UK is the whiney fking wingers that can't find the good in anything they have around them and are always dissatisfied and dragging everyone else down with their incessant complaining.

The UK is a great place to live. Of course there are crappy parts but If you live in a crappy part of it get a new job and move somewhere nicer or somewhere you might like. Get some new hobbies or a new partner or find something you enjoy doing and stop being so miserable.

It's great that those genuinely unhappy actually have the gumption to fk off abroad but why on earth do they still feel the need to come on here complaining about the UK? FFS move on. NOBODY WANTS TO HEAR IT.

It really isn't my problem as I don't have any children yet (and hopefully never will while residing in this Country) plus I'm also emmigrating to Canada or New Zealand in about 5 years.
You'll be as miserable there as you are here.

if the move is planned correctly and you fully integrate why should he be unhappy?

yes there are problems everywhere, but the change of lifestyle is remarkable and life is less devoted to the rat race!

Moaning bds are miserable wherever they go; it's just that what they moan about changes.

Frankly, this "head in the sand" attitude is equally to blame for the country's demise. Of course we could carry on as if nothing was wrong and ignore the increasing problems and not complain - It is after all the easy option and the "British" way. However, people are just fed-up with it and have resorted to voicing their disapproval.
The fact is, the number of "crappy parts" have increased exponentially over the past 30 years and the number of "nice" parts are steadily being destroyed by ignorant scum. We need to reverse this decline and voicing opinion will work eventually........

There is nothing more annoying than an ex-pat who whinges at the UK from afar.

Part of the reason they do this is because they want to justify the reasons why they moved abroad.

Some places are better to live than other places - or, at least, better suited to some people. I don't quite follow the idea that if one is not happy with life in the UK one will not be happy anywhere, this is not a utopia.

I think he's on about all the ex-pats weighing in with their opinion later, FWIW I agree. I don't care why any of them left and their prognostications on the UK from whichever dump they moved to are unwelcome, irrelevant and utterly predictable.

Views from abroad after the recent riots were beamed around the world are not entirely favourable whether from ex-pats or not. Everybody is entitled to an opinion whether they live here, lived here once, or never lived here.

I was referring to later comments by some ex-pats.

And, of course, the OP INTENDS to be an ex-pat, so reinforcement of his nascent decision to emigrate is probably at work.

Of course - but as we all know, forming opinions based on news reports in the media will mean those opinions will be based on limited information.

As I said early, when a person has made a fundamental decision regarding their life, they will often look to outside sources to reinforce that decsion and to help re-affirm that the decsion they made was the right one.

I whinged at the UK when I lived there, and I continue to whinge at it now. Probably a bit less now I'm not funding scumbags to rob from me.

Like it or not, the recent riots were global news - probably because of the global view of the British stiff upper lip, civility etc unlike those ghastly continentals. Like it or not, there is something rather unpleasant lurking at the heart of english society, the sense of entitlement and blame culture is insipid and ever-present. The general celebrity worship and aping of some of the less pleasant aspects of US gang/prison/rap culture, the casual brutality and violence, the lack of respect whilst not being new, are in my opinion getting worse.

I like the UK, the variety, the countryside and the history. But it is infested with a very peculiar and unpleasant form of life that I've been fortunate to avoid on my travels. Happily I don't think that it would take much to sort it out, but the apologist media would never countenance what is required to be done.

I hate the chavs that have destroyed life in the UK for a lot of things, but the main thing i hate them for is making me agree with Bingo!
