The only real solution is to bang them up in a high security mental hospital where they have staff who can deal with these types.
Decent sentiment, however I think this last line is a mistake that we as a society have made a lot as regards justice. There are no staff who know how to deal with these types. We have come to believe that there are experts in everything, who ultimately know what to do. There are no such experts, and there is no dealing with criminally insane people. See the story above, where in a high security prison two inmates were able to disembowel a third.

The only way to be sure they will never re-offend is to permanently remove them from the gene pool by way of execution. Not a bawdy public hanging, or a gruesome method devised on PH, but a low key, final end to a miserably failed existence.

roofer, enjoy whatever the moderators give you ,

you are either a pillock of the first order or suffer from a bad case of ITGS.
Why though? If someone were to harm someone you love would you not want to meter out some sort of retribution? Or would you rather this countrys wonderfully equall justice system deal with it?

I suspect you would concur with the former, so wheres the harm in discussing what can/does happen?

Or are you just jumping on the PH liberal bandwagon?
what liberal bandwagon ?

'retribution' as you call it or rather 'revenge as gratification' is ultimately pointless

a. Death is the easy way out for these kind of criminals hence Fred West or Harold Shipman's suicide and the various Parasuicides by Huntley ... all people who knew they are infamous and would never be in the general population because of their crimes. Despite the Daily Heil's whingeing on how cushy jail is - ask 10 Pence Short for the real views of a real PHer who has spent time inside as a 'customer' of the CJS

b.Lowers you to the same level as the criminal - seeking gratification by by the abuse of others and exercising 'power' over them.

Perfectly legal in Spain - who's right and who's wrong?
That's irrelevant. Firstly, we're not in Spain, and secondly we are largely discussing the social opinions on such a crime - In this country it is very much illegal and socially unacceptable.

Stoning adulterers to death is perfectly legal in some countries - Who's right and who's wrong?
The point is that age of consent laws are arbitrary as are various other aspects of the law surrounding sex , the classic example of such is the is 'photograph of your wife ' paradox . In the Uk it is perfectly legal to marry and so all sorts of sexual things with a 16 or 17 year old , but take a picture of them while doing these sexual things and you are a 'child pornographer'.

it's interesting to note that there is upward pressure on the age of consent while the biological pressure on maturity ( as noted by the age of the various stages of puberty) is downward due to better nutrition and living conditions in general.
