And old teacher of his has today today said in The Sun that "he was always a bright spark".

He'll have had a long track record of criminality, a high frequency of contact with the Police and no doubt acted as a conduit for many a stolen item in the past.

A friend said "He always loved Optimus Prime, but he didn't make a very good transformer himself".
