Dyson Launches Electric Car

We got a Dyson - I forget what number, an upright - as a backup to our Henry, in part to see if they were any good.
I think we used it twice before giving it away, and buying another Henry...
Our builders have a hetty and a Henry in our house now and we have the Dyson. I've actually used them to see the difference and the Dyson is in an utterly different league of sickroom power and end result. I think we used it twice before giving it away, and buying another Henry...
Also on your Henry Hoover there is no rotating brush to buff the pile of the carpet instead you are rubbing it back and forth by hand.

I never get the love for Henry, OK for the car or diy,but the house? Who the hell goes round the house with the nozzle brush thing? Also on your Henry Hoover there is no rotating brush to buff the pile of the carpet instead you are rubbing it back and forth by hand.

Indeed.I have a Henry at work for giving my cars and work vehicles a quick hoover out, and it is truly excellent for that.
But for home use it is a nonsense. You need a rotating brush bar at the very least to ensure the carpets, rugs etc get properly cleaned out, and dragging a Henry round while it trails behind you and bashes off the walls and skirting as you go doesn't make any sense.
I have an upright Dyson ball that I have had for years and it has been great.
I recently purchased one of those £400 handheld cordless Dysons with the rotating brush bar on the end and it has honestly changed my life. Myself or the Mrs can zip round the house with it in no time, and it's excellent for the car.
I tried all the cordless cleaners in Currys one evening and found that the Dyson was absolutely streets ahead of the other offerings.
Dyson have been working/investing in battery tech for a long time, as well as electric motor design. I would not be surprised if they are betting on a new battery design - which would be hugely profitable if it came off.
Unfortunately I think they hired some ex consultancy types into some areas, and they may have been great at talking about stuff, but a bit st at doing anything - just a rumour I heard though. In contrast most of the stuff I hear from there is really positive, so the previous may just be sour grapes

I was about to crack the joke but then sat down and thought for a bit
I think this could bear fruit. JCB have done well with diesel landspeed cars, who would have thunk it?
Maybe Dyson can do same with electrical cars?
Both companies not happy with Europe and pro Brexit, maybe we need to give them at least a nod?
We need to get behind our companies like the US does and China etc.

We absolutely do.Why people in this country line up to mock and belittle our industries baffles me.
Other countries cheer their companies on and take great delight over the whole 'Made in America' thing or wherever they happen to be.
Dyson has built a company from absolutely nothing into something worth Billions.
His specialities are battery and electric motor technology and he spends £7 Million every week on research, development and engineering.
Why on earth would anyone think he couldn't build a successful electric car?
