We handle money on a daily basis and you see people with notes in their mouth, holding notes in the same hand as the snot rag they've just wiped their nose with, coughing into a hand of cash and the proceeding to hand it to us.

Amazes me that they have no clue about whats going on, or simply dont care.
Queuing to get into the US last year. I'm at the front of the queue, the officer looks up, points and starts tearing into someone behind me who was holding their passport in their mouth. I barely got looked at so the officer could have his chat with the next guy. I would not have wanted to be that guy.

Sorry guys, I should've mentioned in my previous post - I went deaf in August last year, so Skype / telephone is out.

I had the idea of meeting somewhere (driving there in separate cars) and going for a brief walk somewhere not busy or crowded.

Why are some people so obsessed with the government not ‘locking everyone down’? If you don’t agree with the advice you know you can do it yourself right?

Just isolate yourself. Not difficult.

Not just loo rolls going today, a lot more is vanishing in my local supermarket.
Quite annoying really. My wife is pregnant and gets bad headaches at the moment. Can’t have ibuprofen apparently, but can have paracetamol. Everywhere we go it’s wiped out.

I suspect they don't want to do it themselves for the next 6 months. But everybody else should.

In days of old
When knights were bold

They'd put a sock
Upon their cock
Thus babies were prevented

Here in Australia Telstra have announced that 20,000 employees are going to be working from home for the rest of the month. It looks like they're confident in their own networks!

The state of Ohio have said they probably have 100,000 cases.
That would be more than China in the last 3 months.
Are you comparing estimated figures to recorded figures?

I think its because without governmental direction, their employers won't agree.

Nobody has said there should be a lockdown.

There should be less intrusive measures in place though, IMO, to try and prevent the spread.

Sounds like a good plan. Don't touch the same surfaces, maintain some distance, don't cough on one another. I think that would be fine.

It's how you build up an immune system, by being exposed to every day germs.

They say since housewives went nuts on cleaning everything with 99.9% bacteria wipes and sprays, kids get more illnesses.

Ditto peanut allergies after pregnant mums advised to avoid them.

New treatments now available that... guess what... expose kids to peanuts to build immunity.

Assuming everyone remembers the Twin Towers collapsing after the attacks... Remember why so many people died? Because they were told by the people ‘in control’ to stay put. They trusted them and it cost them their lives. Same as Grenfell. Terrible terrible outcomes.

The majority of those that survived went against the instructions and took it in themselves to get out.

Wonder if this will be the same scenario? Only time will tell unfortunately.

Well, on a really really simplistic, one-dimensional level, they are kinda right.
