For crying out loud, I am absolutely sick of reading stuff like this.

It is likely I see similar things to you on social media. I certainly saw the 'ballot altering video', but I spent 30 seconds researching the video and concluded satisfactorily that it was simply votes having their legibility improved so they could be processed.

Here's a tip for you: Whenever you see stuff on social media, assume it is likely to be misleading, a half story, or just flat out bullst. Do yourself a favour and actually read into things properly before believing everything you see.
Hear hear! I would add that the aforementioned checks before posting it up on a public forum and making themselves look even more of s dick. Just listened to an idiot from Sheffield on LBC coming out with the same claptrap, unfortunately the unspeakable Sheila Ferghaty was unable to respond in kind, too slow on her feet.

Given how this election is hardly a landslide result, I'd suggest that America is just as divided today as it was yesterday.
I would agree.

But at least they will have a president trying to bring them together, rather than encouraging everyone to just scream at each other.

Have a feeling that it won’t be long until we see a “ 47th President of the United States, Kamala Harris” thread.
I think you could be right. The way they've been getting the poor bloke to jog onto every stage over the past week to prove he's not knackered yet has looked pretty desperate at times. Less cringey than the Donald-dancing we've been subjected to I suppose...

I miss Obama, he would be perfect to have right now to start the healing process............Nobel Peace Prize after only eight months in office etc etc. Ironically, after being awarded the peace prize, he then proceeded to start wars or military campaigns in seven different countries. Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Somalia, Yemen, Libya and Syria. Hundreds of thousands of civilians dead but hey, it's all good, at least Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia and Libya now have a shiny new central bank as compensation. Yay.

We should have a PH poll, Who do you think Biden will go for next? Personally, I think Iran needs a central bank more than Cuba and North Korea.

This isn't some advocation of Trump, I think he is a bizarre narcissist and am dismayed that Americans voted in sufficient numbers to elect him.

Let's not forget, his immediate predecessors were reprehensible too...........

Let's see what Biden brings.......

Obama inherited Iraq and Afghanistan. I was in Kandahar when he was elected and watched his inauguration in the American galley there.

Google suggests operations in Yemen have been going on since just after 911, Pakistan 2004 and Somalia on and off since the 1990s.

There was a reason the Dems ran on identity politics and not the economy you know?
What on earth are you talking about? Address the issue and don't try some imbecilic deflection tactic (fairly normal for Trumpistas, I know).

The deficit as it exists today was brought about by Donald J Trump.

You obviously think that this was a "good thing" - which just shows how delusional Trump acolytes are. Only a few years ago a Republican would never have countenanced such a thing.
Until Covid the US had a great economy under Trump. Even polls said the majority of Americans thought so too compared to 4 years before. This is the reason Dems ran on identity politics. They could not beat Trump on the economy.

You can insult everyone you like but clearly you know nothing of the US economy or even understand how to look at things like unemployment rates/stock market/pensions etc. 3.5% unemployment rate and virtually no inflation is an achievement unlikely to be bettered by Biden. If progressives get their way it will be 15% unemployment, 10% inflation, destroyed stock market, massive taxes but at least things will be more "just".............

So, as I said, do you think that the largest government deficit was OK?

Are you actually capable of responding to a direct question?

Or is the concept of giving a straight answer beyond you?

(I expect it is - based on your performance so far).

What a load of absolute bks.

Did any of that happen under Obama? Or any other Democratic president ever?

Biden is the epitome of centrist.

Read what I wrote again. I said if "Progressives get their way". Yes Biden is a centrist and its looking very unlikely the Progressives will get their way.

As for the economy : yes it started to get better under Obama but it got even better under Trump.

More capable than you looking at the calibre of your insults and response's. Do I like a large deficit? No. I didn't under Obama either. Difference is I see economic expansion as the way to grow the economy and reduce the deficit. Not use the deficit as a way to re-distribute wealth. If Democrats ever get a tax increase they won't use it to pay down the deficit. Look at the add-ons in the stalled Covid bill right now to see how the Democrats will increase the deficit even further.

If Pence can absolve Trump (and presumably all his family, entourage etc.) can Biden then unabsolve him?
Presidential pardons only covers federal offences.

State laws and sentences still apply.

At long last you managed to answer the question. It's like getting blood from a stone.

So, you are happy with large deficits - as long as they are Republican ones. And being Trump, it's the biggest and best deficit ever. Your man must have really pleased you.

Sadly for you, your man has been exposed for the fraud and idiot he always was. I sometimes wonder what type of idiot persists with support for an even bigger idiot.
Unity in strength?

Dems ran on identity politics? It wasn’t the Dems screaming about cities burning and how horrible “the left” is. It isn’t the Dems that worked with White Supremacists.

Your just using identity politics to mean they want to end discrimination, but according to Trump and the GOP equality is a bad thing.

Hopefully put up a review of the keyboard they’ve used for the past four years considering I’ve not seen a “what keyboard?” thread from Byker in the Computer & Gadgets section biggrin
