Just spotted this on Twitter.

Jeremy Vine on 5 twitter feed asking:

Should we vaccinate 5-11 yr olds?

"The EU drugs regulator has approved the Pfizer vaccine for children as young as five in Europe - despite the WHO insisting children are at low risk.

But would the vaccine put your mind at rest?"

First comment... Putting adults minds at rest is a mind numbingly stupid reason to give a medical treatment to children.

So we can tell already by the suggestive and emotive language being used that this is the direction they are going.

Let's see how many of the jab all crowd will wheel out their littlest for a jab.

I pray that I am wrong, but in 'normal' times, knowing there is an issue with Pfizer in the young, why would this even be considered?

London Mayor SadiqKhan was asked about his Covid policies during open question night, instead of answering the reasonable question, he said they had moved onto discussing transport and then security shoved and dragged the man out to silence him.

That’s PoLiTiCs and sCiEnCe for you. Cancel any debate or questioning of the narrative.

More likely Khan hasn't got the faintest idea what he is talking about and didn't want to be on the hook for any of his answers

Even their Covid vaccine trials appear to be frankly corrupt.

Of course even that isn't enough to stop the jab everything train frown

Not read that the WHO are likely to call the new variant Nu as in the 13the letter of the Greek alphabet then?

And do you not think that MrRNA may be a result of auto spell at all?

Finally, your comment confirms that full approval has not been given yet and that maybe we will be jabbing people for ever more?

I don't know how it works for vaccines, and clearly the flu vaccine is different to those of C-19, but I would think any new modification to a vaccine would need at least a basic safety trial? Unless the flu vaccine is so well understood and we have many years of data to refer to on both the original and subsequent modifications.

Completely unlike C-19.

So even with full approval worldwide, I can't see new modifications to C-19 vaccines being rolled out at the drop of a hat initially. The drug companies are certainly going to want to ensure it's safe and efficacious if they're going to be responsible for it post-approval (unlike now).

So COVID is now ripping through most of Europe and surprise, surprise a new variant is now revealed.

I'm sorry but given what has occurred over the last couple of years you didn't need to be scientist to see that was going to happen. And without coming across as a tinfoil hat wearing loon, what are the chances that its already here?

Christmas to be cancelled in 3, 2, 1.........

BBC said:
Citing Javid's earlier comment about the potential for the new variant to be more transmissible than others, Conservative MP Liam Fox asks what is known about the severity of illness caused by the new variant - and the potential for its impact on the health service.

Javid replies that "we don't know enough yet" about the severity of illness that could be caused by the new variant.

He points to a "desktop analysis" based on the number of mutations associated with this variant - double those present in the Delta strain - which he says indicates a "possibility" that the new variant might have a "different impact" on people if they are infected.
Seems legit.

Yup he probably just misspoke and maybe meant but didn’t clarify, under 19 without any co morbidities. Didn’t say what time period either.

I know it is slightly more than 10

However they only did what the politicians and the NHS leaders do - Amanda Pritchards statement was a classic of telling what was a true fact but without the full information

Sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander perhaps?
