Now PH.... If Burka women were all dressed like that with the face covered would you still want a ban?

I know of a few women who should have permanent head coverings.

Last night Muslim preacher Omar Bakri Mohammed, 52, said: “This shows how much hatred he has for Muslims in general, and Muslim women in particular.

“If he speaks about the honour of Muslim women, it requires Muslim people to respond.

“And if he doesn’t apologise he could face Muslim youth attacking him physically.”
I don’t see what all the fuss is about. After all, Ayatollah Khomeini is known to have worn a day-glo orange mohican under his hat.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was true. I was surprised by the amount of sex shops in Brunei when I visited (strict Muslim country where you'll struggle to buy alcohol in shops).

According to Islamic teaching, nothing can happen unless god wills it.

Unless god doesn’t exist, he must have spent millions of years causing every species in history to evolve mating behaviour that is sexually attractive to the opposite gender. The evidence for this mating behaviour existing is overwhelming.

If god exists and nothing can happen without him willing it then he must have approved it. The alternative would be to admit god doesn’t exist, or isn’t all powerful.

Suddenly god realises he wasn’t perfect and made a mistake. He corrects this by causing Muslims to believe that they mustn’t appear sexually attractive to the opposite gender.

So god decides to remove their drive to be attractive to the opposite gender. To achieve this he sends an illiterate man to write down his instructions for women. He gives indirect instructions that don’t directly say what to wear. He makes vague instructions about modesty and awaits people to interpret them as meaning they must remain unseen by the opposite gender. To achieve this they must wear concealing garments.

Presumably he must have extinguished the desire to be attractive in Muslim women if he isn’t to be cruel to Muslim women. Otherwise Muslim women would be wearing alluring clothes under their Islamic dress if their husbands and brothers allow it.

My wife is on the management team of a well known supplier of underwear. Their flagship store at Marble Arch can take £1M on a busy day, much of it from Burka wearers visiting the UK and filling suitcases with underwear. They usually buy the sexiest lines they do. Individual Burka wearers are spending a couple of thousand on suitcases full of sexy knickers, then asking for the forms to reclaim the tax when they take them abroad. They can’t want to wear them and feel sexy because god has stopped that; they must want to eat them or something. This isn’t just knickers; this is M&S knickers.

Perhaps if Muslims want to control what their women wear they should make them wear see-through Burka’s that reveal the undergarments so that if women are wearing sexy underwear they can’t hide it.

This suggests god hasn’t changed the way Muslim women feel. All that has changed is the belief of Muslim men.

I saw Top Gear. Clarkson was obviously joking or indulging in wishful thinking.

So then Uncle Fester, which part of Islam states that a woman cannot be attractive for her husband?

I am enjoying the fact that the writers, presenters, producers and ultimately the powers-that-be allow TG to be politically-incorrect. I hope they keep it up. The Beeb isn't exactly a bastion of common sense.

Surely the problem is that you don't get to find out whether your wife is a munter or not until it's too late?

Quite. The main issue is making sure no one else finds out your wife is a munter afterwards!
