Suspect it'll have been a couple of scrotes who will soon "upgrade" to beating some innocent person to death in the street.
Nobody would get upset about that though.

Indeed, a problem with society at large, desensitized to random acts of violence against each other.
And yet, still upsetting to find defenceless animals mutilated.

I agree there's a "scale of sh*tty things that can happen in the world" but your comment about it being just a rabbit is just, well, odd.
If your post count wasn't so big I'd have accused you of trolling.
No creature deserves this sort of torture.
It was 'just' a rabbit. In a world where people tortured and abused daily, animals are routinely cruelly exploited and millions of children die of trivial diseases.

No creature deserves it, certainly, but it happens everywhere, all the time, sadly.

No hint of trolling, just reality.

What is that supposed to mean?
It's supposed to mean that there are three million people affected by the floods in Pakistan, with over 1,400 dead and 27,000 trapped awaiting rescue. It's supposed to mean that every day, at least one of our soldiers is killed or maimed fighting a far-off war. It's supposed to mean that the Israel/Lebanon situation is getting all scary again.

And yet, our OP nearly bursts into tears because some bunny got its ears singed.

The people in Pakistan choose to live in an area which gets flooded. The Troops choose to join the Army and risk going to war. Yes the Israel thing is bad, but people could move away if it bothered them that much. The Bunny couldn't stick up for itself.

Whilst we can easily get upset about any tragic circumstance that affects humans it seem some are indifferent when it concerns animals.

The really tragic case here is that some animal thought it fun or game to seriously hurt another. It's bad enough when the senseless animal at fault is something like a cat that does it through nothing better than instinct, but when something with supposed intelligence to match yours (roughly) does it then it deserves a tear or two.

I really hope you are a Vegan using that argument. Does any animal choose to be slaughtered for food?

I had a lovely Chicken for Dinner tonight. The difference being that the Animals killed for food are done so in a painfree way. Which is fine. I suscpect this Rabbit was in horrific pain.

There's nothing special about Doncaster - there are potential serial killers down south too:

When asked to comment, Colin replied "Pardon? Oh, the ears. Never mind, ear today, gone tomorrow."

Stupid jokes aside I just can't figure how you could burn a rabbit's ears off. Ever tried holding a rabbit when they're in a good mood? Police must be looking for a person with more stitches than a patchwork quilt.

If someone did do this, whilst I don't believe in an eye for an eye, or even an ear for an ear, I hope they get bad aids.

Ian Sloan got his start in life by doing this kind of thing.

Sloan later took his stepfather's name of Brady.
You know, the way you constructed that was almost "sensationalist".
Like you work for a newspaper or something.

People starve to death in Africa.

People in England display their moral superiority by showing their compassion for a rabbit.

Go figure...
