"Yorkshire Rat Club president Colin Arundel said rodents, like humans, could simply be getting bigger as food becomes more and more available."

So it's all Maccy D's fault then.

I'm sure there are some blokes ex-Coypu Control who could be persuaded to come up from Norfolk and shoot a few nefarious things running around the streets. Just tell them there are coypu in Bradford and they are wearing Kappa. Job's a good 'un.

It would be richly deserved, IMHO, but what would a rat do with cash? Perhaps they could settle in dairy products.

Environmental health staff
Plot a campaign to eradicate current infestation,
made worse by long dry spell and plentiful supply of fast food outlets.

Typically a female will mate with a suitable male if the offer of bag of chips/bucket is conducive.

She may produce a litter of benefit scroungers more than twice a year.

They are essentially stupid creatures of nocturnal nature,
Though may be seen in day time congragating at poundstretchers/post offices.

How heavy would a 2 1/2 foot long rat be? Look how the guy is holding that stick - it can't weigh very much at all.

Can rats on housing estates claim housing benefit, child benefit, jobseeker's allowance, incapacity benefit and get myriad other free handouts at our expense? Do they vote labour? Do they burgle houses, steal cars or shoplift?

Nope didn't think so.

Could be a camera trick but that green broomstick looks unusual - photoshop maybe?

If not, fk that for a game of soldiers. I used to have pet rats and they're great, cuddle that, you'd never play the guitar again!

It's just taken with a wide angle lens, held close to the rat. This distorts the image, making objects in the foreground appear larger than they are, and those in the background smaller.
